     Johannes Knetzger was born on Friday, 20 March 1801 in Dormitz, Bavaria.2 He died at the age of 75 on Friday, 05 May 1876 and was interred at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Goldenthal. His burial location is Area 1; son of Frederich Knetzger and Anna Steinweihs; spouse: Katherine Hoffman; married: 21 August 1830; emigrated: 1 July 1842; father of Sebastian, John II, Leonard, George, Yannie, and Johannes; land patentee; donated two acres to the parish which he purchased 2 August 1842 and on which the first parish log church was erected. This was the second Catholic church building built in Washington County; no burial marker.1,2
