The Concordia Historical Institute has given permission to Trinity Historical Society of Freistadt to completre the translation and publish the book, and individual copies are now available. Volume I covers the forming of the Union church and the new agenda, reasons for emigration, difficulty in obtaining permission to emigrate, and details of the emigrations, especially those in 1839 to 1843. Volume II covers personalities of the pastors who led the emigrations, disputes and divisions in the new homeland, and gives details about families that were divided because of the emigration. For Volume III, the translation was performed by the Trinity Historical Society publications committee. It lists emigrants by name. All surnames are boldface and are given with original spellings, including umlauts and esszets (ß). Occupations are given in original German but are translated in the glossary. This listing shows the year of emigration, village of origin, destination, ages of family members, and wife's maiden name. There is a surname index.
