She was survived by three children. A memorial service was held on Wednesday,18 August 2009 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ron Schneider officiated at the service. Private interment.

William was born on 21 April 1924 in Arkansas to Nicholas Klein and Rose Hoffman. He married Bethel DeMarce on 04 November 1944 in Seaside, Clatsop County, Oregon. They moved to Hubertus, Washington County where they lived all their life. William served in World War II in the United States Navy in the Phillipines. He worked as a carpenter most of his life. William was a member of the Hubertus Goetz-St. Louis American Legion Post 522 and he was a member of St. Mary of the Hill Parish. William was the father of four children. A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Monday, 01 June 2009 at St. Therese Chapel/Holy Hill (lower level) where Reverend Fred Alexander OCD officiated. Interment followed on Monday, 01 June at St. Augustine Cemetery in Hubertus.

Monfort C. Obrecht

      Monford C. "Monty" Obrecht passed away on Sunday 31 January 2010 at Northfield Manor at the age of 94. Monty was born on 29 July 1916, in Black Earth, Dane County, Wisconsn to Christ Obrecht and Elfrieda Wille. He attended Black Earth High School. On 05 September 1940 he married Juanita J. Bennett. During World War II, Monty was in the United States Army Air Force and flew "the hump" (Burma, India, and China). Later, he became a private pilot and was instrumental in organizing Gran Aire Aviation at Curtiss Wright Airport in Milwaukee (now Timmerman Field). Monty was also a flight instructor and examiner at Crites Field in Waukesha and other airports. He retired his career with FAA at Mitchell Field as a flight examiner and FAA inspector. Monty was a mason with the Shriners and a member of AmVets, American Legion, and the HUMP Association. He was survived by two daughters. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita, parents Christ and Elfrieda, son James, grandson Matthew, and brother Rubin. A Funeral Service for Monty was held on Thursday, 04 February 2010 at Stony Hills Presbyterian Church, N112 W17655 Mequon Road in Germantown, WashingtonCounty. Reverend Bruce Greenough officiated. Burial took place on Friday, 05 February 2010 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Black Earth.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he returned to Random Lake and ran the family business, Wilk Buick & Hardware, with his father. Vernon and Joan made their home in Random Lake for 44 years before moving to West Bend in 1995. He was a long-time member of the Random Lake Fire Department, Fredonia Hamm-Miller American Legion Post 145 and served as village clerk for a number of years. Vernon served his country during World War II as a bombardier first lieutenant in the United States Army Air Corps, 15th USAF, 720 squadron, 450th bomb group, and was based out of Manduria, Italy.

Vernon was survived by his three children, Bruce (Lyn) of West Bend, Denise (Randy) Hall of Coloma and Keith (Jane) of Appleton; and four grandchildren, Stacie (Matt) Castillo, Trevor (Jenn) Wilk, and Justin and Aaron Hall; and one great-grandchild, Megan Castillo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Viola, sister Audrey, and his wife Joan.

Inurnment with military honors took place in St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Batavia in the spring.
