On 03 May 1943 he was united in marriage to Catherine A. Blatz in Milwaukee. After his discharge from the United States Army, they settled in Milwaukee where he was employed as a maintenance engineer for the city of Milwaukee Water Department for over 30 years, retiring in 1978. In 1989 they made their home in West Bend. Edward was survived by his wife and two children. Preceding him in death were a brother, Theodore, and a sister, Helen Myszewski. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, 19 May at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. Reverend Gerald Brittain presided. Entombment followed in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

He worked as a member of the C.C.C. in Nevada in the late 1930's and served with the United States Army during WWII as a combat engineer.

He was an avid sports fan and gardener as well as a member of the Slinger Zunker-Held Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3358. He is survived by two sons. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Blanche, on Dec. 12, 1991, and many brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held on Monday, 15 May at the Phillip Funeral Home of Slinger. Closing of the casket prayers were held on Thursday, 01 June at the Phillip Funeral Home in West Bend, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Holy Angels Catholic church in that city. Father Gerald Brittain officiated. Interment was made in Holy Angels Cemetery, West Bend.

Preceding him in death were his father, Adolph; a son, Alan; his twin brother, Merlin Erdman; his parents-in-law, Orin and Ethel Boettcher; a brother-in-law, Donald Janechek, and his first wife, Patricia J. Erdmann. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, 21 June 21 at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Reverend Edwin Fredrich officiated. Burial followed in Lutheran Memorial Park.

Ralph Struebing of Kewaskum, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA passed away at the age of 56 years on Friday, 30 June 2000 at St. Joseph Community Hospital in West Bend. Ralph was born on 13 April 1944 in West Bend to Wilmer Struebing and Esther Campbell. On 30 December 1967, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Stiefel at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Ralph was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and served his country in the United States Navy from 1961-64. He was employed by Serigraph Inc. in West Bend for 28 years where he lastly held the position of superintendent. Ralph was a member of the West Bend Moose Lodge 1398 and the Thursday AM Sunrisers Bowling League. He was survived by his wife and two children. He was preceded in death by two nephews Jeff Struebing and Douglas Stiefel; his father-in-law, Arthur Stiefel; a grandson, Michael Carroll; a brother-in-law Ronald Stiefel and a good friend, Mike Duenkel. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum with a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in that same city. Father Mark Jones officiated. Burial with military graveside rites was on Thursday at St. Peter Cemetery in the town of Trenton.

Mr. Kasmarcik was founder and CEO of Kapco in 1972, active Grafton Lions member, member of the Chamber of Commerce in Grafton and a past member of Kiwanis. He also served in the United States Air Force during WWII. Mr. Kacmarcik was survived by five children. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Merlin J.F. Capelle

Merlin John Frederick Capelle of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA died Wednesday, 12 July 2000 at St. Joseph Community Hospital at the age of 80 years. Merlin was born on 01 July 1920 in Loyal, Clark County to Henry E. Capelle and Emma Helmke. On 03 June 1944, he married Jane Wollenzien at First Lutheran Church in Temple, Bell County, Texas. Merlin was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Army from December, 1941-1945 which included service in the Aleutian Islands. Following the war, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating from the College of Engineering in January of 1950. Following graduation, the family moved to West Bend where Merlin was employed by the city of West Bend as the city engineer from 1950-1955. From 1955-1986 he was in private practice as a civil engineer laying out many of West Bend's residential subdivisions.
He was survived by his wife and four children. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Henry and James, and two sisters, Camilla and Beverly. He was a long-time member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend. Memorial services, officiated by Pastor George Mumm, were held at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church on Friday, 14 July.

Cary J. Frank of Richfield, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA passed away at the age of 61 years at his home on Tuesday, 11 July 2000. Carl was born in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County on 30 November 1938 to Harry Frank and Emma Stenzel. After graduating from Rufus King High School, Cary served in the United States Army, stationed in Kentucky, Texas and Alaska. He earned a bachelor degree in psychology and sociology from Marquette University and went on to a 26 year career as a probation officer for the State of Wisconsin. Carl married Beth Leadley on 18 January 1969 at the First Methodist Church in Madison, Dane County and there they built their home in 1971. Together, they raised six children. He was survived by his wife, Beth, and five daughters and one son. Carl was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held on Friday, 14 July at the Shimon Funeral Home. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Elroy W. Schroeder of Slinger, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA passed away at the age of 69 on Saturday, 15 July 2000 at St. Mary Hospital of Ozaukee County. Elroy was born in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County on 21 July 1930 to Oscar Schroeder and Martha Eberhardt. He married Burnell P. DeGelleke on 11 October 1950 at Elmgrove Lutheran Church of Elmgrove. Elroy was raised in Milwaukee and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. After marriage, he and his wife lived in Milwaukee, later moving to Slinger. Elroy was a truck driver for Harvey Service of Wauwatosa for over 38 years, retiring in 1990. He was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Slinger, a past member of Atonement Lutheran Church of Milwaukee and a member of the Milwaukee Teamsters Union 200. Elroy was survived by his wife and five children. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, 19 July at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church where Pastor Michael Schroeder officiated. Interment followed on Thursday at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
