William passed away on Tuesday, 09 December. Visitation was held at the church, prior to the service. William was born 83 years previous in Clintonville, Waupaca County on 05 July 1925 to Julius Norman and Margaret Freeborn. A military veteran, William served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, from 1943 to 1945. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force Reserves in 1955 with the rank of first lieutenant. On 26 February, 1955, William was united in marriage to Joan McMillan in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa. They lived in Iowa for a year before moving to Shorewood, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. They later moved to Cedarburg in March of 1957. An avid outdoors man, William loved to hunt pheasant with his trusty dog, Shadow. His favorite pheasant hunting stories came out of Iowa. William also loved to hunt deer and go fishing. He was an avid golfer. William was also a bowler and played bridge. He played couples bridge in his later years. William worked for Columbian Artworks, later called Colart, for 27 years. Afterward, he was self-employed while selling paper products to banks; and he was still working until last year. William is survived by his loving wife, Joan, and their two children. William was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Norman, and his sister, Ruth Coleman. William was a member of the Cedarburg Peter Wollner American Legion Post 288.

He was united in marriage to Shirley Karls on 10 September 1966 at Holy Trinity in Jericho, Waukesha County. Robert owned and operated the B&S Liquor Store in Hartford for 25 years. He enjoyed golfing, spending time up north in the woods and especially loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the Hartford Lions Club, the Hartford Courtney-Carr-Milner American Legion Post 19 and St. Kilian Catholic Church. Robert was survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirley, and their two children. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold, his mother and father-in law, Norman and Hilda Karls, and his sister-inlaw, Judy Karls. A memorial funeral service was held on Sunday, 15 March 2009 at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 264 West State Street in Hartford where the Reverend David LaPlante officiated.

Edward G. Pusch

      Edward G. Pusch of Hartford, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA passed away on Thursday, 18 December 2008 at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford . Edward was born 84 years earlier on 03 March 1924 to Edward Pusch and Ida Ketelkut. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the 10th Infantry Regiment of the 5th Infantry Division in the European theater of Operations. Edward was awarded the Bronze Star and received the Purple Heart for wounds he received in action in Germany. He also served 20 years with the 32nd Infantry Division in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, where he was commissioned as an officer and later served as the commander of the company stationed in Hartford until he retired in 1965. After his discharge from active service, Edward worked for Libby’s in Hartford from 1945 - 1979 in the Personnel Department. Upon leaving Libby’s, he owned and operated Lehman’s Bottle Stop in Hartford from 1979 - 1984. Edward was never one to sit around. He helped friends whenever they needed him, and he loved helping Tom Conrad on the farm. He would do whatever needed to be done but cutting wood was a favorite.

Ed was a member of Divine Savior Lutheran Church, the Hartford Veterans of Foreigh Wars Post 8834 and the Hartford Courtney-Carr-Milner American Legion Post 19. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters, Eleonora (Arnold) Hundt, Leona (Ervin) Hundt, Ruth (Raymond) Schulz, Adeline (Norbert) Berndt and Violet (Delbert) Ehlers, and 3 brothers, Willard, Waldemar (Adeline) and Melvin (Mary) Pusch. Funeral service was held on Monday, 22 December at Divine Savior Lutheran Church, 3200 County Road K South in Hartford where the Reverend Ricky Schroeder officiated. Interment with military honors followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in that same city.

Frederick Karl Schultheiss

      Frederick Karl Schultheiss entered the Kingdom of Heaven on the morning of 30 December2008. He entered this world 75 years earlier on 04 June 1933, in Lake Geneva, Walsworth County. Wisconsin, USA. He was the son of Friedrich Schultheiss and Gertrude Maas and was survived by his wife of 48 years, Christa Margit Jung and his five children. Fred grew up in Fond du Lac and attended Goodrich High School for one year and graduated from the American Community High School in Paris, France. He graduated from Ripon College in 1955 with an A.B. degree in French and German. Upon graduating from college in 1955, he entered the Army Reserves as a second lieutenant. He served six months on active duty at Fort Belvoir, Fairfax County, Virginia, then as a platoon executive and civil information officer for the 432nd Civil Affairs Company before receiving his honorable discharge on 15 April 1964. Frederick began his teaching career in the mid-1950s teaching German and French in Durand, Winnebago County, Illinois, and later at schools in De Pere, Fond du Lac and Viroqua, Wisconsin. He dedicated the majority of his teaching career to Hartford Union High School in Hartford, Washington County where he taught French, German and English, until his retirement on 04 June 1993.

Fred was a devoted family man who loved to spend time with his children. Every summer he would take his family on camping trips throughout the northern United States and Canada. When his children were older, he took them to Europe to teach them about their heritage. The Family received relatives and friends on Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hartford. A Memorial service followed at the church.

Roland M. Holland

      Ronald M. Holland of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA passed away on Sunday, 09 November 2008 at Cedar Community Hospice. Ronald was born 71 years earlier on 19 October 1937 in Wauwatosa, Milwaukee County to William E. Holland and Georgiana E. Hellendrung. He attended South Division High School in that city. Ronald worked in several industries including construction, factory work, Miller Brewery and later in the metal stamping business at Mill Tool in West Bend. He finished his working career at Holland Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. in 2006. Roland served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 17 October 1954 to 30 August 1957. Ronald was a member of the West Bend Lt. Ray Dickop American Legion Post 36. He was survived by his four children, Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dennis Hellendrung, and daughter, Brenda Holland. A memorial service was held on Thursday at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend. Cremation occurred at the Paradise Cremation Services of that city.

      Warren J. Dickmann was born on 28 October 1921, the son of Jacob Dickmann Sr. and Agnes Wollmer. He was born into eternal life 87 years later on Thursday, 18 December 2008 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday 26 December at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington Street in Grafton, Ozaukee County. Interment took place in the church cemetery. Warren served his country during World War II in the United States Coast Guard as a seaman, first class. He was united in marriage to Pearl Leona Maas on 02 May 1964 at St. Joseph Parsonage in Grafton. Together they enjoyed going to Arlington Park to watch the horse races. He was a very proud, longtime member of the Grafton Rose Harms American Legion Post 355. He also enjoyed participating in the holiday parades with the legion. Warren did love the Green Bay Packers. He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers and three sisters.

Joseph Meunier

      Funeral services were held on 27 August 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA for Joseph Meunier of Grafton, who died on Wednesday, 24 August at the age of 86. The Reverend Steve Lampe officiated the services. Joseph was born on 06 February 1919 in Cedarburg to John Meunier and Anna Fuenger. He was the youngest of eight children, all of whom preceded him in death. He was a longtime resident of Grafton, having lived in the community from 1922 until the time of his death. Joseph married Florence Johann of Hartford on 26 April 1943. He was a decorated veteran of World War II, achieving the rank of technical sergeant. Joseph was a member of the 15th Army Air Corps and flew as a flight engineer and gunner on B-24 aircraft. He completed 35 bombing missions over Italy, Germany and central European targets. Joseph was employed as a molder at Jungers Stove and Range, and later at Plymouth Foundry for nearly 30 years. He was then employed by the Russell T. Gillman Corporation of Grafton until his retirement at age 67. Joseph frequently sang as a member of the Golden Tones in Grafton’s senior citizen choir. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Grafton for more than 80 years and a longtime choir member. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Grafton and was graduated from Grafton High School. A man dedicated to his family, duty and his community, Joseph petitioned the Grafton Fire Department for membership at the age of 16 and was accepted as one the youngest members in the department’s history. Upon returning from World War II, Joseph joined the Grafton Rose-Harms American Legion Post 355, where he became a member of the honor guard and firing squad. Even after turning 80 years old, he was still seen marching in Grafton’s parades. Joseph was survived by his wife Florence and their five sons.

Gordon Krentz

      Gordon F. Krentz, a lifelong resident of Hartford, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA passed away on Friday, 11 June 2010 at Kathy Hospice. Gordon was born on 06 September 1919 to Fredrick and Louise (Steinberg) Krentz. He was united in marriage to Hilda Loomans on 12 April 1941 in Waupun, Dodge County.

Gordy served his country in the United States Army with the 14th Division in WWII. He received a Bronze Star and a battlefield commission and was discharged as a Captain. He was a life member of both the Hartford Courtney-Carr-Milner American Legion Post 19 and the Hartford Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8834.

Gordy was a joint owner/operator of the family business, Krentz Electric, in Hartford for many years. He was an active member of the Hartford and Kettle Moraine Lions clubs. He received their highest awards — the Melvin Jones Fellow and the Birch-Sturm Fellow — for his commitment to the organization. He acted as treasurer in both groups at one time during his membership. He was a member of the Hartford Masonic Lodge. Gordy was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Slinger. He loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He loved any sport and was an avid fan of the Packers. If there was a ball in the air he'd watch it. He also enjoyed watching all of his grandchildren in their individual sports and then discussing it with them after. Being the self-made coach he was of all. Gordy also loved his vegetable garden. He was meticulous in keeping it weed free and healthy growing.

He was survived by his wife Hilda and two daughters. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, his son-in-law Tom Chasty, two brothers Donald and Howard, his sister Jane (Richard) Krenzelok, his brothers-in-law Robert Breitkreutz and Hugh "Bud" Moore. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, 15 June St. Paul Lutheran Church, 799 St. Paul Drive, Slinger, with the Reverend David Cooper officiating.

Roland Fred Senner

Roland was born to Alvin H. and Irene A. (Seefeld) Senner on 09 May 1924 in Shorewood, Milwaikee County. He joined the United States Army Air Corps and served in World War II, then he worked for various farms, acquiring his farm in 1947. On 23 October 1948, Roland married Cecelia Kimla at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Newburg. He enjoyed fishing and puzzles. Roland was the town of Trenton chairman for 14 years and was a member past Commander of the West Bend Lt. Ray Dickop American Legion Post 36, member of the West Bend Fred A. Schaefer Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1393, the Farm Bureau, the Red Cross and former president of the West Bend School Board.

Roland wasa survived by his wife, Cecelia and their four children. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Janet; brothers, Alvin, Donald and Norman; brothers-in-law, Walter Wendt and Loi Lai; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Senner and Margaret Senner; and son-in-law, Scott Totsky. Funeral services were held on Thursday, 03 June 2010 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel in West Bend where Ron Rewerts presided. Interment was on Friday, 04 June 4 at the Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

Todd Pruett

      Todd R. Pruett of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA passed away at the age of 49 years on Sunday, 04 July 2010 at the Veterans Administration Puget Sound Medical Center in Seattle, Washington after a courageous battle with MDS. His family was at his side. He was born on 11 August 1960 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Richard and Bernadine (Brockman) Pruett and moved to West Bend at an early age with his family. Todd graduated from West Bend East High School in the class of 1979. He then attended Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina on a baseball scholarship and then the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he played baseball and football. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army Special Forces. Upon his honorable discharge from the military, he rejoined the family business, Pruett’s Floor Covering in Saukville. He later worked as a sales executive for Guaranteed Screen Printing in West Bend, and was presently working as a senior sales consultant/project manager for JT Roofing of Saukville.

On 03 September 1989, Todd was united in marriage to Patrice Lynn Andrews at Our Savior Lutheran Church in West Bend. They purchased his parents’ home in West Bend where they spent the years raising their family. Todd found joy in maintaining an immaculate yard and caring for his Irish setter. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, West Bend Lt. Ray Dickop American Legion Post 36 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Wytheville, VA Post. His passion in life was for athletics, especially, baseball. He lettered in four different sports while in high school, where he also earned a state record in baseball for pitching three "no hitters" in a single season. Todd’s passion continued by coaching youth baseball, football and wrestling while always lending a helping hand to anyone in need, especially the youth of our community.

Todd was survived by his wife, Patrice, and four sons. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernadine Pruett, and mother-in-law, Doris Andrews. Funeral services were held on Monday, 12 July 2010 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1044 Silverbrook Drive, West Bend. The Reverend Pamela Marolla officiated. Entombment in Washington County Memorial Park was held on Tuesday.

Willard L. Mueller

      Willard L. Mueller of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA passed away at the age of 79 years on Saturday, 03 July 2010 at Horizon Hospice Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital-Ozaukee, Ozaukee County. Willard was born on 04 June 1931 on the family homestead farm in the Town of Trenton, Washington County to the late Phillip and Adela (Erchens) Mueller. After his schooling, Willard enlisted in the United States Air Force where he faithfully served his country until 1955. On 31 December 1955 he was united in marriage to Patricia Murphy at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County. Together they made their home in the Town of Trenton to raise their family. Patricia preceded Willard in death on 12 June 2005. Willard owned his own business hauling milk and later drove truck for Bend Industries retiring in 1996. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Loyal Order of the Moose West Bend Lodge 1398, the Teamsters Local 200 and the West Bend Lt. Ray Dickop American Legion Post 36. Willard really enjoyed baseball along with sheepshead, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Old-timers Baseball Association, and is in the Land-O-Lakes Baseball Hall of Fame.

Willard is survived by four children. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Mueller and Gerald Mueller, and a son-in-law, Michael Duenkel. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, 08 July at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 North 8th Avenue where the Reverend Gerald Brittain officiated. Burial was on Friday in St. Peter Cemetery, town of Farmington.

Howard was born in Chinook, Montana, on 13 March 1928, the son of Jacob and Eva (Adams) Rinehart. He was united in marriage to Marion Rappold on 17 May 1952 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Howard served in the Marine Corps during World War II. Later he worked at Nash Motor Company in Milwaukee and from there he went to Mercury Marine. Howard later worked for his brother-in-law at a television store. His last job was for the Cedarburg School District as a janitor. Howard liked to golf, garden and go camping. He also enjoyed being with his friends. Howard, Marion and their close friend, Ruth, were very well traveled with some of the ports of call including Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Greece and the Caribbean Islands. He also liked to read, especially enjoying his mysteries. Harold also loved his dogs, Muffin, Harvey and Jetty. He was a member of the Cedarburg Peter Wollner American Legion Post 288.

Howard is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Michael was a 1964 graduate of Wauwatosa West High school. He served six years in the Army Reserves, and later co-founded Kunz Company Inc. (KCI) with Sherry, specializing in industrial packaging sales. He is survived by his three sons. Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel. He was inseparable from Sherry – it is hard to talk about one without mentioning the other. They were rarely seen without each other and they befriended practically everyone they met. They were extremely easy people to talk with and get to know. After Sherry passed away, Mike lived with a broken heart that was greater than anyone should bear.

Mike was universally known as a fun-loving person who was generous and selfless to an extreme. He would give you his last dollar and wouldn’t expect anything in return. If he called you a Kocklemeier, you knew he liked you!
He had a thousand stories and jokes, and didn’t mind retelling ones you already heard a few dozen times. His infectious laugh entertained a lot of crowds. Michael was a member of the Cedarburg Peter Wollner American Legion Post 288.

James P. Hagen

      James P. Hagen of Green Lake, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, formerly of Jackson, passed away at the Markesan Resident Home on Friday, 18 June 2010, at the age of 80 years. James was born on 06 March 1930, the son of Jacob and Loretta (Gehl) in Hartford. He married Luella Hagen on 28 July 1951 at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford. He served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 and was a member of the Jackson Staff Sergeant Henry F. Gumm American Legion Post 486 for 56 years. James was a true outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also an avid coin collector and woodworker. James was survived by his wife, Luella. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robert, Thomas and Howard Hagen; and brothers-in-law, Bob Pankratz and John Ribbons. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, 23 June 2010, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive in West Bend where the Reverend Jeffrey Haines presided. American Legion Post No. 486 honored James with a walk-through. Entombment followed at Washington County Memorial Park.

LeRoy E. Cummings

      LeRoy E. Cummings of Jackson, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA died at the age of 72 years on Saturday, 29 May 2010 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County. LeRoy was born on 22 November 1937 in Phillips, Price County, the son of Emery and Mary (Daehne) Cummings. He married Norma Jean Kleinschmidt on 26 October 1963 in Milwaukee. Norma preceded LeRoy in death on 29 November 2001. LeRoy served in the United States Army. Following his discharge he worked for Stolper Steel before retiring as a proud union truck driver for Roundy’s. He was a member of the Jackson Lion’s Club and the Jackson Staff Sergeant Henry F. Gumm American Legion Post 486. LeRoy was survived by three children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Mary; and his wife, Norma. Funeral services were held on Friday, 04 June 2010 at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial followed at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

Raymond H. Keller

      Raymond H. Keller of Oconomowoc, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, USA, formerly of Jackson, Washington County, died at the age of 86 years on Friday, 11 June 2010 at the Lake Country Health and Rehabilitation Center. Raymond was born on 21 October 1923 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, the son of Charles and Leonore (Jupp) Keller. In 1943, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After his discharge, he returned to the Milwaukee area. On 12 April 1947, he was united in marriage to Rose V. Page in Milwaukee. Rose predeceased on 19 May 2005. Raymond worked as a blacksmith at the Milwaukee Forge and Machine, retiring after many years of employment. He was a member of the Jackson Staff Sergeant Henry F. Gumm American Legion Post 486 and the Jackson Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post 7240. Raymond also volunteered at the Jackson Recycling Center and with Nova Services. The family greeted relatives and friends on Sunday, 27 June at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson. Military honors were performed by the Jackson Staff Sergeant Henry F. Gumm American Legion Post 486.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, 06 February 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA for Gerald V. Debroux. Gerald, a resident of Grafton, went to his heavenly home on 02 February 2010 at the age of 79 years. Interment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Gerald was born in Phlox, Lanflade County on 27 July 1930, the son of Andrew and Appolonia (Van Boxtel) Debroux. He was united in marriage to Barbara Hoffmeister on 12 November 1955 in Phlox. Gerald was a devoted family man. He was also a storyteller and a joker. Gerald enjoyed square dancing and was also an avid camper. He was a member of the Grafton Rose-Harms American Legion Post 355 and a former member of the Cedarburg Peter Wollner American Post 288. Gerald was survived by his beloved wife, Barbara, and their six children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Angela Raettig; two sisters and two brothers.

Clemens A. Wolf

      Clemens A. Wolf, of King, Waupaca County, Wisconsin, USA, formerly of Allenton, Washington County, passed away on Tuesday, 26 August 2008 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Clemens was 89 years of age. He was born on 20 October 1918, the son of Martin and Mary (Mueller) Wolf. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Allenton and the Allenton Fohl-Martin American Legion Post 483. Clemens served his country in the United States Army during World War II, serving in both the European and Pacific theaters. He farmed for most of his life and loved bowling. Clemens was survived by five brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 215 Main Street, Allenton, with his brothers Fathers Eugene Wolf and Werner Wolf concelebrating. Interment was at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Nenno.
