Eugene E. Purgett

      Eugene E. Purgett, also known as Gene, of Germantown, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA died at the age of 74 years on Sunday, 14 January 2001 at his residence.
Eugene was born 26 November 1926 in Withee, Clark County, son of Charles and Florence (Bergstrom) Purgett. He served in World War II in the United States Army Infantry, and was honorably discharged in May of 1946. After his marriage to Catherine E. Blume on 21 June 1947, at Owen in the priest's rectory in the Woodland Hotel, the couple moved to Milwaukee where he owned and operated Eugene Purgett Trucking for over 30 years. Following his retirement, he enjoyed auctions, fishing and seeing Wisconsin with his wife in their camper. Eugene was survived his wife, three children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two children, Anna (Purgett) Burdick and Duane Purgett, and a brother, Mahlon Purgett. Funeral services were held on Thursday, 18 January at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend. Pastor Robert H. Lindau officiated. Interment was in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation at the funeral home was on Thursday.

Robert E. Kent Sr.

      Robert E. Kent Sr., of Hot Springs Village, Garland County, Arkansas, USA, passed away at the age of 73 years on Sunday, 07 January 2001, in Hot Springs. Robert was born on 01 January 1928 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, the son of Edward and Margaret (Stelling) Kent. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, a U.S. Navy Veteran, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Men's Club. He retired from Faustel Inc., Germantown, Washington County as the vice president of manufacturing. Robert was an avid golfer, tennis player, square dancer and he enjoyed landscaping. He was survived by his wife, Elizabeth, of Hot Springs Village, six children, and four grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a sister, Barbara "Babs" Soudan. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on 11 January at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village, with Reverend Victor Bieberle as the celebrant. A Memorial Mass was celebrated on Thursday, 25 January at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 1025 South Seventh Avenue, West Bend, followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment was in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Sister Francis Xavier Skupniewitz

      Sister Francis Xavier Skupniewitz, SDS, a resident of the Marian Franciscan Home, Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA died at the age of 92 years on Thursday, 11 January 2001, at the home. Rose Dolores Skupniewitz was born 25 April 1908, in Dalton, Green Lake County, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Anna (Winiecki) Skupniewitz. Sister Francis Xavier entered the Congregation on 31 December 1941, made First Vows 13 August 1943 and Final Vows on 13 August 1949, all at St. Mary Convent, Milwaukee. Before entrance, she studied nursing at St. Agnes School of Nursing, Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County and took post graduate work at Illinois State School of Psychiatric Nursing. Following this, she was supervisor in a psychiatric hospital. Prior to entering the Congregation, she served in the United States Army Nursing Corps at posts in Washington D.C., Colorado, California and Hawaii. Using her nurse's training, Sister Francis Xavier served at St. Mary Hospital in Wausau, St. Mary in Columbus, St. Joseph Community Hospital in West Bend and Tekakwitha Nursing Home, Sisseton, South Dakota. In 1967 she took over the dietary department at St. Joseph Community Hospital in West Bend, where she served until her retirement to St. Mary Convent, St. Nazianz in 1985. Sister Francis Xavier had a great love and interest in flowers and birds and also appreciated literature and poetry. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday in St. Mary Nursing Home Chapel, Milwaukee, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee. Her burial location is Block: 2, Section: B, Lot: 98, Grave: 4.

Orville L. Frank

      Orville L. Frank of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA died at the age of 70 years on Thursday, 11 January 2001 at St. Joseph Community Hospital. Orville was born 03 March 1930 in the town of Rubicon, Dodge County. He was the son of Herbert and Hertha (Genger) Frank. Orville married Maxine R. Grenas on 04 July 1970 at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend. He attended Hartford Union High School where he was the captain of the band. Following high school, Orville served in the United States Army in Korea. He played in polka bands for more than 50 years, including the Harvey Krueger Band, the Gordie Miller Orchestra, Push and Pull and his own band, The Orvie Frank Orchestra. Orville worked at Maysteel for 36 years and Serigraph for six years. He was survived by his wife, four children and 10 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a daughter, Dianne O'Dell in 1984, a son, Thomas in 1988 and a brother, Wilmer. Funeral services were held Monday, 22 January at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Bend. The Reverend John Paustian officiated. Burial followed on Tuesday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Visitation at the church was on Monday.

Wilmer Carl Ohrmund

      Wilmer Carl Ohrmund of Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, USA died at the age of 82 years on Saturday, 20 January 2001 at the Samaritan Health Center, West Bend, Washington County. Wilmer was born 23 December 1918 in the town of Barton, son of Albert and Lena (Otto) Ohrmund. He married Mabel Hanrahan on 17 May 1947 at St. Kilian Catholic Church, Hartford. He farmed with his father in the town of Barton until enlisting in the U.S. Navy. Wilmer was employed at Chrysler Marine in Hartford for over 30 years, retiring in 1981. He enjoyed gardening, card playing, hunting and fishing. Wilmer was survived by a son, two grandsons, and a great-grandson. Preceding him in death were his wife in 1985; three brothers, Oscar, Harold and Ervin; a sister, Esther; and a grandson, William Carl. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, 23 January at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, Knowles, Dodge County. Reverend Daniel Schmidt officiated. Interment was in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, LeRoy. Friends called at the Cottrill Funeral Home, Mayville, on Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

McGaver of Grafton, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA, who died at the age of 76 years on 20 January 2001. Father George Gajdos officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Poole Funeral Home, Port Washington. Entombment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon. His burial location is Crypt: 118, Tier: B, Inside: C-a. Mr. McGaver was born 17 June 1924 in Fairchild, Eau Claire County, the son of Conrad and Amelia (Dalkie) McGaver. James married Bernadine A. Janusz on 10 June 1950 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County. He served in the United States Army with a rank of private first class as a Military Policeman from 01 May 1945 to 25 October 1946, during WW II. Mr. McGaver was a carpenter for Selzer-Ornst in Wauwatosa for 25 years. He was also a member of the Grafton Lions Club. Mr. McGaver was survived by his wife, Bernadine "Dolly" McGaver of Grafton, two children and five grandsons. James was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ralph and sister Cecelia.

Oliver J. Kuntz

      Oliver J. Kuntz, also known as Ollie, of Jackson, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, formerly of Wauwatosa, Milwaukee County, died at the age of 71 years on Thursday, 25 January 2001 at St. Joseph Community Hospital, West Bend. Oliver was born 20 September 1929 in Milwaukee, son of Fred and Vesta (Key) Kuntz. He married Jeanette M. Scharrer in Milwaukee. Oliver served in the United States Army during World War II [?]. He was employed as a supervisor for Falk Corporation of Milwaukee for over 43 years, retiring 31 December 1991. Oliver was survived by three children, and six grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a sister, Ruby, and two brothers, Elsworth and Junior.
Funeral services were held on Monday, 29 January at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend. Father Jeffrey Haines officiated. Cremation took place at Parkview Crematory, Fond du Lac. Visitation at the funeral home was on Monday evening.

George H. Galbraith

      George H. Galbraith of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA died at the age of 72 years on Tuesday, 23 January 2001. George was the beloved husband of Lorraine Rysz, father of three children and grandfather of six. He served with the United States Navy during World War II. Visitation was on Saturday, 27 January at St. Boniface Catholic Church, W204 N11940 Goldendale Road, Germantown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Richfield. His burial location is Area South, Row 10, Grave 05. The family thanks God for the many years they were blessed with this rare, gentle and loving man.

Thomas A. Keyes

      Thomas A. Keyes, funeral services were held Saturday in Amherst, Portage County, Wisconsin, USA for former Cedarburg, Ozaukee County resident Thomas A. Keyes who died at the age of 68 years at his home on 23 January 2001. Mr. Keyes was born in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County on 02 June 1932, son of Thomas E. and Ruth (Wilkes) Keyes. He married Sue Winter on 09 June 1956 in Milwaukee. After serving in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, Mr. Wilkes returned and worked for Wisconsin Electric Power Company, retiring as a supervisor. He was also a member of United Methodist Church in Amherst. Thomas was survived by his wife, Sue Keyes, three children and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to facilitate an operatic concert in Mr. Keyes’ honor benefiting the Portage County Hospice and the American Cancer Society.

Cyril S. Stockhausen

      Cyril S. Stockhausen of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA died at the age of 76 years on Sunday, 28 January 2001 at St. Joseph Community Hospital in West Bend. Cyril was born 18 February 1924 in that same city, son of John and Cecilia (Thull) Stockhausen. He served in the United States Army from 1949 to 1950. On 27 September 1952, he married Irmtraut Deuber at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County. Cyril a self-employed carpenter for many years and later was employed as a maintenance worker at Lasata Nursing Home in Cedarburg, Oaukee County for nine years, retired in 1988. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend, the Catholic Order of Foresters and a life member of the Apostolate of Suffering. Cyril was survived by his wife, five children,and twelve grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a son, Dale Stockhausen; a grandson, Grant Dougherty; and a brother, Jerome Stockhausen. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, 31 January at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. Reverend Adrian Staehler was presider. Brial followed in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation at the church was in Wednesday prior to the service. Memorials to Wisconsin Parkinson Association or Holy Angels Catholic Church are appreciated.

Gerhard A. Holzhueter

      Gerhard A. Holzhueter, also known as Jerry and Gary, of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, formerly of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, died at the age of 78 years on Tuesday, 30 January 2001, at St. Joseph Community Hospital. Gerhard was born 28 December 1922 in Brillion, Calumet County, son of John and Ida (Maertz) Holzhueter. He was raised in Brillion where he was educated at St. John Lutheran School and graduated from Brillion High School in 1941. Gerhard served with the United States Army during World War II as a tech corporal, auto mechanic, with the 2nd Division, 9th Infantry at Ft. Lewis, Pierce County, Washington. After his marriage to Joyce L. Gottschalk on 30 June 1951, at Lake Mills, Jefferson County, the couple lived in Milwaukee.
He was employed by the city of Milwaukee Department of Public Works and the public library until retiring in 1984. In 1986 the couple moved to West Bend where Gerhaed was a past member of the Cedar Ridge Choir, Welcome Friend Committee and the Cedar Campus Ridgeville Choristers. He enjoyed working on his car, repairing equipment, his boat, fishing and bowling, enjoyed traveling abroad, and especially in northern Wisconsin and Florida. He always kept his sense of humor even in challenging medical times. He was survived by his wife. Preceding him in death were three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held on Friday, 02 February at the Phillip Funeral Home in West Bend. Reverend Curtis Schowalter and Reverend Howard Knox co-officiated. Visitation was at the funeral home on Friday. Entombment was in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Wasukesha County on Saturday.

Robert R. Howard

Mr. Howard graduated from UW-Madison, Phi Beta Kappa, received a master degree from UW-Milwaukee and a CPA. He served in the Army Finance Corps from 1952-1954. He retired as vice president of finance from Badger Meter, Inc. and was a dedicated patron and Zoo Pride volunteer of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. He was survived by his wife, Madeline J. Howard, one son, and a granddaughter.

Charles Nicholas Race

      Charles Nicholas Race, also known as Chuck; a memorial fund has been established at Grafton State Bank for Charles Nicholas Race, who has been integrally linked to the Grafton Gladiators youth football team for nearly a decade. He died at the age of 30 on 22 January 2001. Mr. Race was born 22 March 1970, son of Roger and Catherine Race of Grafton. He served as a medic with the United States Army 3rd Infantry stationed in Arlington, Va. from May 1989 to May 1992. While in the service he was a member of the Presidential Honor Guard. Mr. Race joined the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department in 1988, and served as a firefighter and EMT. In 1993, he was promoted to the rank of rescue lieutenant, resigning from the department in 1998 to devote more time to his family. He also purchased a Santa Claus suit, and for many years volunteered as Santa for the patients at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee. As a youth, Mr. Race played for the Grafton Gladiators youth football team, and coached in the program while a student at Grafton High School. In 1987 and 1988 he was the line coach for the A team. After returning from the service, he coached the offense for the B and C teams. Returning as the A team line coach in 1994. Mr. Race became head coach in 1995—coordinating the entire Gladiator program. Since 1998, he served on the board of directors of the AFFYL, heading up the expansion committee. In 1999, Mr. Race was honored by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association, finishing second in the national "Coach of the Year" recognition.
During last year’s 25th anniversary of the Gladiator program, Mr. Race coordinated a reunion of hundreds of past players and coaches. Coaching colleagues noted that Mr. Race "instilled in hundreds of kids a sense of commitment, pride, discipline and responsibility that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives." Mr. Race was survived by his wife Paula Hoffman, and two children. .

Schroeder American Legion Post 457 and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Freistadt. He was survived by three children and four grandchildren.

John J. Lemmon Jr.

      John J. Lennon Jr., also known as Jack, of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, formerly of Glendale, Milwaukee County died at the age of 86 years on Wednesday, 24 January 2001 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center. John was born 12 April 1914 in New York, New York, son of John and Katherine (Leonard) Lennon Sr. Later in life he moved to Clifton, Passaic County, New Jersey. He served with the United States Navy during World War II in all three theatres. After his marriage to Mildred Anne Cochran on 31 May 1941, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Ridgely, Caroline County, Maryland, the couple lived in New York, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Milwaukee. John was a manager of sales for US Steel Corp. for over 39 years, retiring in 1977. He was a very active volunteer for many community events. He was survived by his wife, Mildred, three children and ten grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a sister and three brothers. A Memorial Mass was held on Saturday, 10 February, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend. Father Jeffrey Haines officiated. Cremation followed at Parkview Cremations of Fond du Lac with interment of ashes in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation was at the church in the morning predeeding Mass on 10 February.

Bernard James Rupp

      Bernard James Rupp died at the age of 81 years on 05 February 2001 following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Rupp and his wife of 54 years, Kathro, lived in Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, USA, Appleton, Outagamie County and Milwaukee, Milwaukee County before moving to Cedarburg, Ozaukee County following his retirement as a sales manager with Owens Illinois Paper Company.
A Liturgy of the Word will be held Friday at Zacherl Funeral Home, Fond du Lac. Visitation will be at the funeral home in the afternoon. Cremation followed the service. Mr. Rupp was born in Billings, Montana, son of Joseph and Mary (Hedges) Rupp. He moved with his family to Fond du Lac in 1920.
Bernard attended St. Mary Parochial School and graduated from Fond du Lac Senior High School. He went on to graduate from J.M. Perry Institute of Engineering in Spokane, Spokane County, Washington. In 1942 Bernard enlisted in the United States Air Force and became a crew member on a B-17 bomber with the 8th Air Force based in England. As a staff sergeant, he was trained as an instrument specialist and flew 25 bombing missions as a tail-gunner during World War II. Mr. Rupp was awarded the Croix de Guerre from the French government for his service during the war. He had a special interest in raising Cocker spaniels, showing them in dog shows in Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois. He was also an accomplished equestrian rider and competed in a number of horse shows. He was survived by his wife, Kathro, two children, and three grandchildren. Bernard was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Rupp.

Raymond W. Ziegelbauer

Raymond was born on 07 June 1922 in Hartford, Washington County, son of Frank and Armulla (Roethle) Ziegelbauer. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, being awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal. After his marriage to Erna Zimmerman on 23 January 1952 at Holy Hill, the couple settled in Kewaskum and in 1954 came to West Bend where he was employed at the West Bend Transit and Service Company, retiring in 1982. His wife passed away on 16 October 1982. Raymond was a member of the Slinger Zunker-Held Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3358. He was survived by three children and five grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a son, Mark; three brothers, Jerry, Wilbert and Ralph; and a brother-in-law, Jacob Beder. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, 17 February at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. Father Gerald Britain presided. Burial followed in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation was at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend on Friday evening and at the church on Saturday morning.

Mr. Wesenberg served his country in the United States Army during World War II, and was a lifetime member of the Campbellsport Kettle Moraine Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8339 and the Kewaskum Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384. He was also a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum. Fred was survived by his wife, two children, six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a son, Thomas; twin daughters, Pamela and Patricia; and two brothers, Albert Jr. and Robert Wesenberg. Funeral services were held on Sunday, 18 February at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum. Reverend Timothy Henning officiated. Burial with military graveside rites was on Monday in Lutheran Memorial Park, Kewaskum. Visitation was on Sunday at the church prior to the service.

Everett J. Miller

M, b. 28 June 1924, d. 15 February 2001
      Everett J. Miller of 235 Spring Street, Campbellsport, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, USA passed away at the age of 76 years on 15 February 2001 at Manor Care in Fond du Lac where he had resided since 19 January 2001. Everett was born on 28 June 1924, son of Henry and Norma (Schleif) Miller in Menomonee Falls, Waukesha County. He attended Barton Grade School and graduated from West Bend High School in 1942. Everett served in the United States Navy from April 1943 to April 1946 as a hospital apprentice. Upon leaving the Navy he proposed to Evelynne Gosewehr on Valentine’s Day, 1947 and was married on 18 September 1948 at St. Paul Evangelical Church in Waubeka, Ozaukee County. Everett was employed at the West Bend Company, then began his employment at Brittingham and Hixon Lumber at West Bend as a bookkeeper and then as assistant manager. He moved to Campbellsport in 1957 to become manager of Brittingham and Hixon in Campbellsport. He retired in 1987 after 40 years with the lumber company.

Everett was survived by his wife Evelynne, four sons, and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Everett was a member of the Campbellsport Volunteer Fire Department for 44 years and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member and secretary of the Campbellsport Lions Club for many years and also served on the Campbellsport Village Board. Everett was instrumental in starting the SHARE Program and coordinated it for 10 years. Funeral services were held on Sunday, 18 February at the Campbellsport United Christian Church, Forest Street. Reverend Steven Hilyard officiate. Visitation was on Sunday at the Twohig funeral Home, Campbellsport prior to the service. Burial followed on Monday in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.

Nick J. Fuchs

M, b. 14 November 1958, d. 16 February 2001
      Nick J. Fuchs of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA went home to Jesus at the age of 42 years on Friday, 16 February 2001 at his residence after a courageous struggle with leukemia. Nick was born on 14 November 1958 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, son of to Neil and Janice (Doornek) Fuchs. He was raised in Barton, Washington County. Nick served in the United States Army after the Vietnam era. He was the owner and operator of Men at Work Painting of West Bend for over 27 years. He was survived by his beloved fiancee, Corrine S. Boudry-Tamez and her son,and his mother. Preceding him in death was his dad, Jerry Ramel. Nick was a member of Community Church of West Bend. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, 20 February at the Community Church of West Bend. Pastor Dennis R. Olla officiated. Visitation was at the church prior to the service. Cremation followed at Parkview Crematory in Fond du Lac.

John F. McCabe

      John F. McCabe, also known as Jack, of Kewaskum, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA passed away at the age of 75 years on Sunday, 18 February 2001 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend. John was born on 19 June 1925 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, son of Frank and Alice (Bogue) McCabe. On June 25, 1949, je married Patricia Mueller at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Milwaukee. Mr. McCabe served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and was a decorated veteran receiving the Purple Heart. He was a member of the West Bend Lt. Ray Dickop American Legion Post 36, the Disabled American Veterans and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kewaskum. John was employed by Nordburg Corporation in Milwaukee for many years.

Survivors include his wife; four sons and two daughters. Funeral services with military rites were held on Thursday, 22 February in the Family Center at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Waukesha County. Father Mark Jones presided. The family received prior to the service. Burial followed in the park.

Donald J. Collins

M, b. 17 December 1912, d. 18 February 2001
      Donald J. Collins of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA died at the age of 88 years on Sunday, 18 February 2001 at the Samaritan Health Center. Donald was born on 17 December 1912 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, son of John an Meta (Rau) Collins. He married Eunice Hage on 03 July 1937 in Milwaukee. To help at home, Don left school and started working as an errand boy at the Phoenix Hosiery Co. He served his apprenticeship and became a journeyman full fashioned knitter of men's hosiery at Phoenix. While working there, his interest turned to IBM and he learned a new skill. During World War II, he was drafted to work his craft at the war plant at A.O. Smith Co. in Milwaukee. After the war, he became a data processing manager. In 1951 the family came to West Bend where Don was the data processing manager at The West Bend Company. After his retirement, Don served as a volunteer driver of the "Red Bus" and also for the American Red Cross.

He was survived by his wife; six children, fourteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two sisters, Viola and Evelyn Collins and a brother, Harold. Don was a founding member, charter member and past president of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, and a member and past president of the Milwaukee Chapter of the Data Manager's Association, now called the Association of Information Technology Professionals. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, 21 February at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Pastor Oscar Kraft officiated. Visitation was at the church prior to the service. Inurnment followed at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

Gary E. Budzinski

M, b. 26 July 1931, d. 19 February 2001
      Gary E. Budzinski of the town of Trenton, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, formerly of Glendale, Milwaukee County, died at the age of 69 years on Monday, 19 Febebruary 2001 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend. Gary was born on 26 July 1931 in Milwaukee, son of Gregory and Waleria (Andryszczyk) Budzinski. He graduated from Rufus King High School in 1949. After his marriage to Carole R. Rossmiller on 26 April 1952, in Milwaukee, the couple lived in Glendale. Gary served for over eight years in the Army National Guard. He was a maintenance man for the city of Glendale Water Department for over 30 years. He retired in 1992 and moved to the town of Trenton in 1996.

Gary was survivd by his wife, three children and five grandchildren. Preceding him in death were three brothers. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Newburg and a past member of St. Mary Cestochowa Catholic Church of Milwaukee. Gary was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the great outdoors. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, 22 February at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Father Kenneth P. Knippel officiated. Interment followed in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Newburg.

Visitation was at the Phillip Funeral Home in West Bend on Wednesday in the evening along with a prayer vigil and at the church on Thursday morning.
