Norbert J. Boegel

      Norbert J. Boegel of Jackson, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, died at the age of 84 years on Saturday, 07 April 2001 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend. Norbert was born on 27 May 1916 in Washington County, son of William and Mary Boegel. On 28 June 1933, he married Loraine M. McCarthy at Holy Hill. She passed away 21 January 1988. Norbert was a life-long resident of Washington County, settling in Jackson in 1934. He became employed as a carpenter, working for Groth Construction and also Leo Thelen. Later, he, along with Archie Flitter, started their own business. Together they built and remodeled many area homes. Norberts hobbies included hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. He was a charter member of the Jackson SSgt. Henry F. Gumm American Legion Post 486, where he was a member for over 55 years. Norbert was survived by a son, and a grandson. Preceding him in death were a son, Gary in 1974, and two brothers, Arnold and Oscar. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, 10 April at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. Father John Wutscheck was the presider. Burial followed in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend was on Monday.

Eugene J. Werner

      Eugene J. Werner, a funeral service was held Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church in Grafton, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA, for former village trustee Eugene J. Werner who died at the age of 73 on Friday, 08 April 2001. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton. Mr. Werner was born on 07 January 1928 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, son of Arthur and Evelyn (Hahn) Werner. He married Lucile Bailey on 21 October 1973. Mr. Werner served in the United States Army from 08 January 1946 to 14 October 1948. He worked as the building inspector and town assessor for Cedarburg. Mr. Werner was a lifetime member of the Grafton Lions Club, Grafton Rose-Harms American Legion Post 355, was a trustee on the Village of Grafton Board and on the building committee for the Grafton Fire Dept. He was survived by his wife Lucile of Grafton, three chiildren, and six grandchildren.

Francis E. Lechner

      Francis E. Lechner, also known as Fritz, of Hartford, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at the age of 74 years on Saturday, 14 April 2001 at Hartford Memorial Hospital. Francis was born on 06 June 1926 in Hartford, son of Joseph and Cecelia (Bingen) Lechner. He married Rosemarie Christ on 01 May 1948 at St. Mary Church in Woodland, Dodge County. Francis served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a supervisor at Mercury Marine for many years, retiring in 1980. He also worked at Drillmaster for 10 years as a tool and die maker before retiring completely in 1991. Francis was a member of St. Kilian Parish, the Hartford Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8834 and he was a volunteer firefighter in Hartford for 27 years. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in any sporting activity. Francis was truly the best Mr. Fix-it. He was survived by his wife, four sons and two daughters, and 14 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents-in-law, Edward and Rose Christ; three sisters, Marie VanBeek, Margaret Reis and Helen Elsinger; seven brothers-in-law, Edgar VanBeek, Joe Reis, Norbert Elsinger, Gordon Perenchio, Ray Jochem, Wally Stucke and Otto Frieman; and a sister-in-law, Sally Frieman. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, 17 April at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford. Father Michael Petrie officiated. Interment followed in St. Kilian Cemetery. The family greeted relatives and friends at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford.

Raymond E. Dembiec

      Raymond E. Dembiec, also known as Ray, a funeral service was held on Tuesday at St. Borgia Catholic Church for Raymond E. Dembiec of Cedarburg, who died at the age of 77 years on 13 Apri 2001 . Father George Gajdos officiated. Burial was held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Mequon. Mr. Dembiec was born 26 March 1924 in Milwaukee, son of Valentine and Catherine (Zrebiec) Dembiec. He married Bernice Czecholinski and worked as an arborist in the Forestry Department. Mr. Dembiec was an avid gardener and a member of the square dancing club. He served in the United States Navy from 04 June 1943 to 06 February 1946. Mr. Dembiec was survived by his wife Bernice Dembiec of Cedarburg, and three children.

Sylvester F. Terlinden

      Sylvester F. Terlinden, also known as Tiny, a lifelong resident of Kewaskum, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at the age of 83 years on Wednesday, 25 April 2001 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend. Sylvester was born on 02 December 1917 in Kewaskum, son of Albert and Mathilda (Wehling) Terlinden. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the 94th Division. Sylvester was a member of the Kewaskum Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384, and Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. He was a talented musician who had three orchestras, playing organ every Friday night at Hon-E-Kor Country Club in Kewaskum for 19 years, and on Saturday nights at the Glacier Inn in Kewaskum for eight years. Sylvester was a member of the Musicians Union and was employed by Miller's Furniture Store in Kewaskum for many years. Preceding him in death was a sister, Ione Terlinden. Funeral service was held on Friday, 27 April at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. Reverend Eric Kirkegaard officiated. Burial followed with military graveside rites on Saturday in Peace United Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends called at the church on Friday.

Floyd W. Martin

      Floyd W. Martin of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, died at the age of 78 years on Wednesday, 25 April 2001 at St. Joseph Community Hospital in West Bend. Floyd was born on 20 February 1923 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, son of Frank and Elsie (Dinse) Martin. He served in the United States Army Air Corps as a bombardier during World War II. After his return from the service, he attended and graduated from Northwestern University. Floyd married Harriett Nicol on 14 June 1947 at Watson Park Church in Chicago. They moved to Villa Park in April of 1950 and lived in the same home for 50 1/2 years. Floyd was employed as an accountant for Standard Oil Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1980. In September of 2000 the couple moved from Villa Park to West Bend. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum and was previously a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Elmhurst, Illinois. He sang in choirs for more than 60 years. Floyd was a master gardener and especially loved roses. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Floyd was known as a friendly, caring person. He will be missed by his family and friends and will be remembered by his wife, Reverend Harriett Martin, four children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Saturday, 28 April at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum where Reverend Eric Kirkgaard officiated. Visitation with the family was at the church on Saturday.

William Sylvester Wolf

      William Sylvester Wolf of Richfield, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, went to heaven at the age of 78 years on Wednesday, 09 March 2011. He was the loving husband of Susan J. Holtz, for 51 years and the father of four children. William was born on 23 February 1933 to William Leo and Eva Alma (Klippel) Wolf. He graduated from Hartford Union High School in 1951 and served in the United States Army in Japan from 1951-1952. William attended Marquette University and graduated from Spencerian College in 1958. He married Susan in 1959. His wife, children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. William was a member of St. Boniface Parish, a past president of Richfield Lions Club and of Pi Rho Zeta Fraternity. He served as President of Richfield State Bank and was an entrepreneur and sole proprietor of several businesses. William loved to play softball and was a master host who made everyone feel welcome in his home. He possessed a subtle and quick wit. Visitation was on Tuesday, 15 March followsed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Boniface Catholic Church, W204 N11940 Goldendale Road, Germantown. There was a private interment in the Church Cemetery.

Jack G. Zavaglia

      Jack G. Zavaglia, also known as Zee, passed away peacefully at the age of 74 years at Kathy Hospice in West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, on Tuesday, 15 March 2011 after a continued struggle with congestive heart failure. Jack was born on 11 October 1936 in Collinsville, Illinois. He spent a majority of his career in car sales/management until his retirement. Jack was a member of Life Church in Germantown. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served in the 1950's as a crew member on the A3D heavy attack bomber. Beloved husband of Janice Zinke for 50 years. Caring father of two children and grandfather of four. Jack was preceded in death by his sister Vincey Erutti. A memorial celebration was held on Saturday, 19 March. Relatives and friends were welcome at Life Church, W164 N11325 Squire Drive, in Germantown for a memorial visitation which was followed by a short memorial service.

Arthur Lundeen

      Arthur Lundeen passed away at the age of 92 years on Thursday, 05 November 2009 at his residence. He was born on 20 February 1917 in East Moline, Illinois, USA, son of David Alexander and Minnie (Liebert) Lundeen. On 10 August 1938, he married his sweetheart Kathryn Jones. Arthur served in Japan after WWII. He retired from St. Charles Kitchens after a dedicated 35 years of service. Arthur was also a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Elgin, Illinois and was active in both the Golden K and Elgin Garden Club. He considered family his main focus and was always there for them.
Arthur is survived by three children, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and wife of 59 years, Kathryn. A funeral service was held on Monday, 09 November at St. Johns of West Bend Evangelical Lutheran Church, 809 South 6th Avenue, West Bend, where the Reverend Jeff Dorth officiated. Visitation was at the church. Burial took place at Bluff City Cemetery in Elgin.

Edward A. Spradau

      Edward A. Spradau, formerly of Cascade, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, USA, went home to be with his Lord at the age of 90 years on Thursday, 05 November 2009, at Gables of Waldo. Edward was born on 17 September 1919, son of Carl and Rose (Plautz) Spradau. He married Delores Streicher on 03 August 1942 at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Delores preceded him in death on 24 August 1986. In April of 1942 he entered the United States Army and served during the European Theater in the Middle East, serving until September of 1945. During his military service he received two Presidential Citations with three Oak Leaf Clusters for participation in the bombing of Pulaski Oil Field Raids and the Normandy Invasion.
During his working career he worked for the Gehl Company in West Bend as a welder for over 35 years, and worked part-time for over 40 years welding at Johnson Tool and Hydraulic. He retired from Gehl in 1984 and from Johnson Tool and Hydraulic in 2002. Edward was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade and a former member of the Plymouth Eagle's Club.
He is survived by four children, 13 grandchildren, 19 greatgrandchildren, two step-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Jerome (Jerry) Skelton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, Terry, a grandchild, Tony Spradau, a son-in-law, Robert Skrentny, two stepchildren, King and Ace Hutchison, a brother, Eugene, and seven sisters, Rosella, Dorothy, Marie, Irene, Mildred, Vera, and Ruth. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, 07 November at St. PaulLutheran Church in Cascade where the Reverend Richard Bidinger officiated. Burial followed in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends called at the church on Saturday. Full Military Honors were conducted graveside at the Woodlawn Cemetery by Plymouth Worlds Cheese Center Veterans of Foreigh Wars Post 5612. A memorial fund was established in the name Edward A. Spradau.

Merlin C. Crass

      Merlin C. Crass of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, died at the age of 91 years on Sunday, 22 November 2009, at his residence. He was born on 01 December 1917 in Fillmore, the tenth child of Joseph and Edna (Gerner) Crass. Merlin married Alice E. Knoeck on 02 January 1943 at Camp Edward, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He was an accomplished stone mason, building fireplaces for the rich and famous. Merlin took the beautiful Wisconsin field stone to new levels, building fireplaces in Wisconsin, Michigan, Colorado and New Mexico. An avid hunter from the age of 7, Merlin passed this love and passion onto his sons and grandsons, hunting for trophy bucks even in the later years of his life. When diagnosed with melanoma, his wish was for one more hunting season which his “Lord and Savior” granted! Merlin was a WWII veteran, fighting in Africa, Italy, France and southern Germany, and liberated concentration camps at the end of the war. His war stories live on in the hearts and minds of his children and grandchildren, ever reminding them of his fight for their freedom. His love for Alice, his wife, sweetheart and best friend, for 66 years, serves as a constant reminder and model of what loving relationships are all about. He will be truly missed. He was survived by his wife, Alice, and six children, 21 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Merlin was preceded in death by his son, Alan O. Crass; six sisters, Florence Crass, Gladys Lechner, Lorraine Krause, Edna Peters, Helen Cook and Esther Koenig; and seven brothers, Wilmer Crass, Carlos Crass, Russell Crass, Joseph Crass Jr., Bill Crass, Ray Crass and Orville Crass. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, 30 November 2009 at Holy Angels Catholic Church where the Reverend Gerald Brittain presided Visitatation was on Sunday, 29 November at Holy Angels Catholic Church.

Roger E. Laubenheimer

      Roger E. Laubenheimer, M.D. died at the age of 88 years on 24 March 2011 at the Congregational Home. He was born on 23 May 1926 in Richfield, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, the son of William and Ida Laubenheimer. Brother of Miles and Naomi. Roger was married 60 years to Caroline "Carrie" Mahan who survives him. He is also survived by his four children. A graduate of University of Wisconsin, Universite of Wisconsin Medical School, and also the dermatology residency programs at both UW and the University of Michigan. He served as a medical doctor in the Korean War and returned to practice dermatology in Milwaukee from 1955-1997, including patient care and teaching at Medical College of Wisconsin. Roger was a member of the First Congregational Church of Wauwatosa, the Wisconsin Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Dermatology, Sigma Chi Alumni Club of Milwaukee, and the Rotary Club of Milwaukee. Memorial Service were held on Monday, 28 March 2011 at the First Congregational Church, 1511 Church Street.

Frank A. Kosobucki

      Francis A. "Frank" Kosobucki of Hubertus, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA was born to Eternal Life at the age of 76 years on 02 January 2011. Francis was the beloved husband of Mary Piaskowski for 46 years. He was the loving father of four children and grandfather of nine. Eldest sibling of nine. Frank served in the United States Marine Corps and was a retiree of Briggs and Stratton. During his retirement he was employed at St. Mary of the Hill Parish. Frank was a devoted family man, very strong in his Catholic faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, 08 January at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 1200 St. Gabriel Way, Hubertus (corner of Hubertus Rd. and Hwy 164). Visitation was at the church on Saturday until time of Mass. Private family burial was at St. Hubert Catholic Cemetery. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. II Timothy 4:7.

Charles Thomas Hand

      Charles Thomas Hand passed away in his sleep at the age of 82 years on Sunday evening, 11 April 2010 after a hard fought battle with prostate cancer. His eldest daughter, Linda, was at his bedside. Daughter Susan and son James both had visited him this same weekend. Charles was preceded in death, nine years ago this same month, by his wife, Carol Mae Mergenthaler. Also preceding Charles were four sisters. Mr. Hand was born 14 June 1928, in Random Lake, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, USA, son of Willliam Joseph "Joe" Hand and Katherine Mary Hamm. After attending grade school and high school in Random Lake, Charles briefly attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison then transferred to the University of Illinois at Champaign. While there, Charles was a member of the architectural fraternity Alpha Rho Ki and the Navy ROTC. Mr. Hand served his country as a commissioned officer aboard the USS Green and USS Heerman, and had attained the rank of Lt. J.G. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a BA degree in architectural engineering, and completing his Navy commitments, Charles settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; where he met his future wife, Carol, and there they began to raise a family. Mr. Hand began his professional career first at Allman and Whitney, and then for the bulk of his career at the Klug and Smith Company in West Milwaukee, where by his retirement had attained the office of President of the company. Some of Mr. Hand's professional accomplishments in Milwaukee including engineering work on the Mitchell Park Domes, The Marcus Performing Arts Center, the War Memorial, and the rock formations at the Milwaukee County Zoo. For work he traveled as far east as Moscow, Russia, as far south as San Salvador, El Salvador and as far north and west as Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Canada. Having been born on Flag Day and a veteran, Mr. Hand was a very patriotic man who loved his country. He was survived by his three children, seven grandchildren and a great-grandson due this very month. A Memorial Gathering was held on Thursday, 15 April at the Funeral Home.

Karl Patrick Hacker

      Karl Patrick Hacker, also know as Grandpa, died at the age of 92 years on 20 July 2010. He was the beloved husband of Norma B. Homa. Dear father of four children and "grandpa" of six. Brother of Clara Knepel, Trudy Treder and Helen Hacker. Preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Peter, Frank and Mary Hacker and Rose Liesenfeld. Visitation was on Saturday, 24 July at the Funeral Home. Interment was at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Karl was a member of the Hubertus Goetz-St. Louis American Legion Post 522.

John J. Whelan

      John J. Whelan, also known as Jack, of Greenfield, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA, found peace at the age of 93 years on Sunday, 10 April 2011. John was born in town of Erin, Washington County on 21 September 1917, son of Joseph and Ellen Whelan. Raised on a farm, he inherited the values of hard work, compassion and most of all, family. His dedication to and pride in the Whelan clan was unsurpassed, and evidenced by his commitment to his mother, wife, siblings, and ultimately his sons, daughter, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He found his greatest joy in spending time with any one of the large extended Whelan family.

John was a veteran of WWII, followed by Reserve duty with the Air Force's 440th Troop Carrier Wing, retiring with the rank of Major. His civilian employment was with the U.S. Treasury Department's Internal Revenue Service and Foreign Tax Assistance Staff, the latter including multi-year assignments in Bolivia and Honduras, which he completed with his wife, Mary, and his three young children. The family returned to Washington County in 1973, settling in West Bend where he worked for several years as a tax accountant. John was a life member of Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and AFA Athletic Association. He also held memberships in the American Foreign Service Association and Wisconsin's Old Time Ballplayer's Association. He served as an active member and Officer of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, West Bend, and was a longtime member of the St. Frances Cabrini parish. John's generous nature was just a small part of what made him the remarkable man whose life contributions we celebrate now. His gracious spirit, warm heart, and Irish humor charmed all he encountered. His consistently positive outlook was infectious and will be sadly missed by those he left behind.

John is survived by his wife, Mary L. Marseille and their two children. Mass was held at Clement Manor Chapel, 3939 South 92nd Street in Greenfield on Friday, 15 April. Visitation was in the morning prior to Mass celebration.

James E. Spindler

M, b. 26 July 1932, d. 13 April 2011
      James E. Spindler, also known as Jim, was born in Manitowoc, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, USA on 26 July 1932, the son of James and Letty Spindler. He was reunited with his beloved and talented wife Genevieve (nee Spelbring) on 13 April 2011. He was the father of three children and the grandfather of four. James was preceded in death by his brothers Frederick and David. Visitation was at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, 19 April 2011 with funeral service in the evening. Jim was proud to have served in the United States Navy before he graduated from Lawrence University in 1954. He worked 22 years for Revere Copper & Brass Inc. in sales but retired there after 15 years as a stock broker. Jim was extremely active in his community and was honored to serve as a Washington County Board Supervisor for 20 years. He was a member of the Deutschstadt Heritage Foundation of Germantown, Washington County Historical Society and Chamber of Commerce. He represented the Village of Germantown and always did what he believed to be in the best interest of the entire county.

Philip E. Hirschel

      Philip E. Hirschel, longtime resident of Thiensville, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA was born to Eternal Life at the age of 90 years on 15 April 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Ellen Hirschel, his wife, Ethel "Mickey" Rahn, and his mother and father-in-law, Elsie and Rudolph Rahn. Dear friend of Nelson "Kelly" and the late Eunice "Pinkey" Stofflet. Retiree of Weyenberg Shoe. Philip was a Navy veteran of WWII serving in the South Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Mequon Howard J. Schroeder American Legion Post 457. Visitation was om Wednesday, 20 April at the Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service. Philip will be at rest next to his wife Mickey at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.

Arthur R. Rutz

      Arthur R. Rutz of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA passed away at the age of 92 years on Tuesday, 01 March 2011 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in the town of West Bend. Arthur was born on 07 June 1918, in New Prospect, Fond du Lac County, the son of Charles and Minnie (Kranzke) Rutz. He graduated from West Bend High School class of 1937. Arthur went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II as a Military Policeman. On 11 July 1945, Arthur was united in marriage to Frances Hinesley at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend. He work for West Bend Transit as a traffic manager and freight claim agent until retiring in 1983. Arthur was an active member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend and had served as the financial secretary as well as on the church council. He was also a member of the West Bend Fred A. Schaefer Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1393.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Frances of West Bend, three children, four granchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Thomas Rutz; sister; Gertrude Lenz; and two brothers, Fred (Esther) Rutz and Carl Rutz. Funeral services in remembrance of Arthur were held on Saturday, 05 March, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 809 South 6th Avenue, West Bend where Reverend Guy Roberts officiated. Visitation was at the church on Saturday prior to the service. Burial followed in Washington County Memorial Park.

Alex J. Bales

      Alex J. Bales of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA died at the age of 94 years on Monday, 28 February 2011 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend. Alex was born on 23 June 1916 in the town of Trenton, the son of Frank and Agnes (Bahr) Bales. He was united in mariage to Marie E. Pastors on 16 November 1940 at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Church in Barton. Marie preceded him in death on 10 January 2004. Alex was an employee of Mobil Oil Corporation for more than 30 years. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Alex was active in Boy Scouts for more than 25 years. He enjoyed camping, woodworking and gardening. Alex was a long-time member of the Father Casper Rehrl Knights of Columbus Council 1964. He was survived by his five children, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Alex was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Agnes Bales; his wife, Marie; two brothers, Raymond and Sylvester; and two sisters, Delores Hoeft and Rosalie Hoeft. A Mass of Christian burial was held Friday, 04 March 4, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church where the Reverend Jeffrey Haines presided. Burial was on Saturday in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation was on Friday at the church prior to the service.

Cyril J. Westerman

      Cyril J. Westerman of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA died at the age of 93 years on Wednesday, 02 March 2011 at Columbia St. Mary Hospital in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County. Cyril was born on 23 March 1917 in the town of Kewaskum, the son of Edward and Alvina (Wahlen) Westerman. He was married to Priscilla E. Hartmann on 27 July 1946 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nenno. Priscilla preceded him in death on 06 April 2009. Cyril proudly served his country during World War II with the United States Army Air Corps. He was a member of the West Bend Lt. Ray Dickop American Legion Post 36. Cyril and Priscilla built and operated the West Bend Motel and Moraine Supper Club in West Bend for many years. He also worked for East Central Breeders in Waupun for over 35 years. In retirement, Cyril and Priscilla enjoyed camping with their family and friends and showing up unexpectedly at friends and relatives homes throughout the country with their RV. He is survived by one son and two granddaughters. Cyril was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Alvina Westerman; his wife, Priscilla Westerman; his son, Frederick; his sister, Florence (Roman) Hartmann; his brother, Harold Westerman; three brothers-in-law, Byron Beisbier, Edmund Hartmann and Norbert (Esther) Hartmann; and his sister-in-law, Arlene Mueller. A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, 05 March, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend where the Reverend Jeffrey Haines presided. Burial was on Monday at Holy Angels Cemetery.
