Michael T. Williams, also known as Mike, of Hartford, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, was surrounded by his loving family when he was called home to God by His angels at the age of 66 years on Friday, 24 November 2006. Michael was born on 06 January 1940 in Milwaukee, son of Louis and Emeline (nee Pehoski) Williams. He married Rita Beine on 09 September 1961 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Lawrence, Dodge County. Michael served his country in the United States Army. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loved his family deeply. Michael was a steamfitter for 20 years prior to starting his heating and air conditioning business - Williams Heating Service. Mike devoted the last six years to serving the Hartford Courtney-Carr-Milner American Legion Post 19, where he was the past commander from 2000 until his death. He enjoyed camping and traveling.
Michael was survived by his wife, Rita, of Hartford; his children, Wendy (Gary) Christenson of Hartford, Wanda (William) Erickson of Cedarburg, Jody (Sherry) Williams of West Bend and Thomas (Nicole) Williams of Wauwatosa. He was the fond grandfather of Justin, Tyler, Rebecca, Nathan, Benjamin, Evelyn and Cooper; dear brother of Ralph Williams of Ackerville and Rosemarie (Leo) Beck of Kewaskum. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and American Legion family. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Paul; and his sister-in-law, Caroline Williams.
Visitation was on Tuesday, 28 November at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 262 State Street in Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in St. Kilian’s Cemetery with military graveside rites under the auspices of the Hartford American Legion Post 19.

Charles H. Hammer

Charles H. Hammer, also known as Churk, of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at the age of 87 years on Sunday, 26 November 2006. Charles was born in Milwaukee on 26 December 1918, son of Walter P. and Esther M. (nee Klug) Hammer, where he was raised.
He attended Washington High School, and graduated in 1936 as president of his class. He continued his education at Marquette University and graduated in 1942 with a degree in chemical engineering and election to Tau Beta Pi, national engineering honor society. While at Marquette, he earned three letters playing basketball from 1938 through 1941 and was awarded the prestigious Marquette Medal for excellence in academics and athletics, the predecessor of the McCahill award. On 25 April 1942, he dedicated his love to Margaret J. Stiehm. The couple celebrated 64 years of marriage when she died in September of 2006. Also in 1942, Chuck went on to serve in the United States Navy for three and a half years as a lieutenant during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Upon his discharge, he began his career at the West Bend Co. in product development. At that time, he also played semi-professional basketball with the West Bend Benders. Throughout his career at the West Bend Co., Chuck was active in product development, manufacturing and operations. He rose through the ranks to become plant superintendent, director of manufacturing, vice president of manufacturing, vice president of operations, senior vice president and retired as executive vice president of manufacturing after 34 years of service. Chuck was also active in serving the community. He and his wife, Margaret, were one of five couples who started Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in 1959, where he served as treasurer for 20 years. He also served on various church and charitable boards in both West Bend and in Arizona following his retirement. Chuck enjoyed, with his family and friends, sail boating, golf, dancing, bridge and supporting both Arizona Wildcat and Marquette Warrior basketball. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Marquette Alumni Association. He loved spending quality time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Throughout his life he served as a caregiver, first to his parents, then to his sister-in-law, and finally to his loving wife, Margaret, until her death in September of 2006.
He is survived by his sons, David (Barbara) Hammer of Waukesha and Rick (Kathy) Hammer of North Prairie; his grandchildren, Scott (Angela) Hammer of Waukesha, Mark (Amanda) Hammer of Oconomo-woc, Jeanine (Peter) Nordquist of Nashville, Tennessee, Carolyn Hammer of Washington, D.C. and Gayle Hammer of Chicago; and his great-grandchildren, Tyler, Maicy, Dylan, Brooke and Jayden Hammer, and Emma Joy Nordquist. He was further survived by many nieces, nephews, other special relatives and many dear friends. Chuck was greeted at the gates of heaven by his parents; his loving wife, Margaret; his brother, Walter (Delores and Pat) Hammer; and two sisters-in-laws, Helen (Sherburn) Bartelt and Lois (Edward) Grutza.
A funeral service was held in honor of Charles on Thursday, 30 November at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 809 South Sixth Avenue in West Bend where Reverend Cal Seban officiated. Visitation with family and friends was held on Thursday at the church. Entombment took place at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

John W. Spartz

John W. Spartz of Waupun, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, USA, formerly of West Bend, Washington County, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 68 years on Saturday, 02 December 2006 at Waupun Memorial Hospital. John was born on 31 December 1937 in Saukville, Ozaukee County, son of Wilfred and Evelyn (Grotelueschen) Spartz. During his early life, the family moved to West Bend, where John attended Holy Angels Catholic Grade School. Later his family moved to a farm in the St. Michaels area and John attended Kewaskum High School, graduating in 1955. Following graduation, John enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving for four years refueling planes and was a member of Strategic Air Command. He was deployed out of Texas and spent service time in Alaska and England. On 27 August 1960, John was united in marriage to Joan O’Brien. The couple made their home in the West Bend area and raised three children. John was employed as a machinist by Weasler Engineering before joining the West Bend Police Department in 1968. While on the force, he obtained the rank of sergeant and was midnight supervisor, chief’s aide and head of the detective bureau. After 21 years of service, John took early retirement due to injuries received in the line of duty. John and Joan lived in Wausaukee for 13 years and enjoyed the north woods. John enjoyed hunting, fishing and liked watching the eagles and wildlife on the river. In June of 2006, John and Joan moved to the Waupun area to be closer to their children and grandchildren. John will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Wausaukee and Waupun.
John was survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joan; three children, John (Wendy) Spartz of West Bend, Jackie (Ken) Krueger of International Falls, Minnesota and Janine (David) Martin of Kewaskum; eight grandchildren, Aly, Erin and Andrew Spartz, Nikki and Matt Krueger, Jennifer, Greg and James Martin; two brothers, Tom (Janet) Spartz of Kewaskum and Robert (Rosie) Spartz of West Bend; a sister, Betty (John) Arndt of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Clancy (Pam) O’Brien of Simpsonville, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Peggy (Joel) Jacque of Black Creek; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. Pareick A. Lathrop
M, b. 16 August 1920, d. 02 December 2006
Patrick A. Lathrop, also known as Grandpa Pat, of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, peacefully passed away at the age of 86 years at home on Saturday, 02 December 2006. Patrick was born in Cudahy, Milwaukee County, on 16 August 1920, son of Alvah Jr. and Gertrude (nee Merkel) Lathrop. He attended Cudahy High School, where he played football with his future brother-in-law and beloved friend, Oscar Greinke. He graduated from high school in 1938 and began working at Patrick Cudahy Meat Packing Plant. He also attended Carroll College for two years as a history major before answering the call to active duty during World War II. Patrick enlisted in the United States Navy on 10 September 1942 and he saw many active battles in the Pacific Theater. His most notable ship was the USS Wake Island, where on 03 April 1945 he was injured in a battle at Okinawa. On 29 September 1945, Patrick was honorably discharged from the Navy with the rank of Fire Controlman Third Class. Upon his return from WWII, Patrick married the love of his life, Lois Audrey Littmann. In December of 1946, he began a career working for the Cudahy Police Department as a patrolman. Over the course of his career, he earned the rank of sergeant and later detective before his retirement in 1975. Patrick loved police work, and after a year into his retirement he went back to work for nine more years for the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office as an investigator in the criminal complaint division before finally retiring in 1984. He was an avid reader, a sports fan, a Civil War buff and he loved listening to classical music. Patrick was a member of the Cudahy Arthur Kerlin American Legion Post 16. Patrick savored his retirement and was always proud of the fact that he could be retired for about as many years as he worked. His later years were spent living with his son Thomas and daughter-in-law Diane and their golden retrievers.
Patrick was deeply missed by his loving sons, Michael (Joan) Lathrop of Vernon, Thomas (Diane) Lathrop of West Bend and Patrick A. Lathrop Jr. of Milwaukee; and his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John W. Podgorski of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at the age of 91 years on Tuesday, 05 December 2006 at Ivy Manor in Campbellsport. John was born on 27 October 1915 in Milwaukee, son of Walter and Josephine (nee Zuowska) Podgorski. On 20 September 1941, John was united in marriage to Wanda Krass in Dubuque, Iowa. Together they resided in Milwaukee and John worked for Allis Chalmers. John served in the United States Army Engineer Corp during WW II. After service, John went back to Allis Chalmers. He also started John’s TV & Radio in West Allis in 1954, which his son Jack later took over. John also farmed in the town of West Bend near Nabob until his retirement in 1975.
John was survived by his wife, Wanda; two children, Barbara Forster of Greenfield, and John A. "Jack" (Janet) Podgorski of West Bend; four grandchildren, Michelle Forster, Tammalla (Neal) Wishowski, Rochelle (Victor) Segura and Carrie Podgorski; other relatives and friends. Robert H. Boltz

Robert H. Boltz, also know as Bob, of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at the age of 81 years on Sunday, 10 December 2006. Robert was born in Watertown, Jefferson County on 23 October 1925, son of Arthur W. and Hilda E. (nee Priem) Boltz. He was raised there and was graduated from Watertown High School in 1944. After graduation, he honorably entered into the United States Army Air Corps serving from 1944 to 1946 during World War II as a staff sergeant. After returning, he furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin-Washington County and then started his career as a self-employed photographer. Bob was able to enjoy this career until his retirement in 1999. From 1961 to 1965, Bob was also the deputy coroner for Washington County, and eventually was elected the Washington County coroner from 1965 until 1989. On 28 December 1980, Bob married Dorothy Ann (nee Voeks-Esselman) at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend. He was the founding member of the Decorah Coin Club, was a member of the Wisconsin Press Photographers Association, the National Press Photographers Association, the Kiwanis Club of West Bend since 1964, was past president (1985-1986) and was an active, life member of the Wisconsin State Bowling Association.

James Watry

James Watry of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at Kathy Hospice, town of Polk, at the age of 70 years on Sunday, 10 December 2006. James was born in Belgium, Ozaukee County on 10 September 1936, son of Emil and Clara (Anzia) Watry. He served in the United States Navy for 12 years, going overseas to Korea and Hawaii. On 27 January 1968, he was united in marriage with Sue Ellen Yankunas at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. The couple moved to the West Bend area in 1971. Jim most recently had worked as a clerk at the VA Center in West Allis. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in West Bend, the Belgium Memorial American Legion Post 412 and the West Bend Veteran of Foreign Wars Fred A. Schaefer Post 1393. He had been an avid hunter and fisherman, especially enjoying the Great Lakes. Trips to the casino and friendly games of sheepshead were also pastimes that he liked, as well as spending time outdoors and tending his roses.
He was survived his loving wife of 38 years, Sue Ellen; his brother, John (Kathy) Watry of Mukwonago; and sisters-in-law, Mary Kay (Philip) Stone of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Ann Marie (William) Mikyska of Hingham. Bernard Weyer, also known and Bernie, of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at the age of 86 years on Thursday, 14 December 2006 at Heritage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington. Bernard was born in Germantown on 22 November 1920, son of Bernard and Rose (nee Werner) Weyer. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. On 23 September 1950, Bernard was united in marriage to Phyllis Erdman at Ss. Peter & Paul Church in Nenno.
Bernard was survived by his wife, Phyllis; his daughter, Laura Weyer of Milwaukee; two sisters, Betty Rattenbach of Tomahawk and Mary Wolf of West Bend; a brother, Rex (Ruby) Weyer of Allenton; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Weyer and Barbara Weyer, both of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Ronald, Davidr and Daniel; two sisters-in-law Ann Weyer and Delores Weyer; and a brother-in-law, Delmar Rattenbach. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, 19 December at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, Indiana Avenue and Decorah Road in West Bend where Reverend John Paustian officiated. Visitation was at the church on Tuesday. Following cremation, inurnment was at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery in Union Grove.

Bernard was survived by his wife, Phyllis; his daughter, Laura Weyer of Milwaukee; two sisters, Betty Rattenbach of Tomahawk and Mary Wolf of West Bend; a brother, Rex (Ruby) Weyer of Allenton; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Weyer and Barbara Weyer, both of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Ronald, Davidr and Daniel; two sisters-in-law Ann Weyer and Delores Weyer; and a brother-in-law, Delmar Rattenbach. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, 19 December at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, Indiana Avenue and Decorah Road in West Bend where Reverend John Paustian officiated. Visitation was at the church on Tuesday. Following cremation, inurnment was at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery in Union Grove.

Daniel R. Collins, also known as Dan, of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at the age of 63 years on Tuesday, 26 December 2006 surrounded by his loving family. Daniel was born in Milwaukee on 02 January 1943, son of James M. and Delores (nee Hudy) Collins where he was raised, and was graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1961. On 03 March 1962, Daniel married Elizabeth Ann Bergmann at St. Aloyious in West Allis.
Dan worked for a short time after his graduation, then entered the United States Navy. While he honorably served his country, the couple began a family of their own. When he returned home from the Navy, they lived in West Allis, later moved to Richfield, and eventually settled in West Bend in 1986. Dan was a dedicated employee of A.O. Smith/Tower Automotive retireing after 31 years of service. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union District 10. Dan enjoyed spending his free time hunting and fishing, and loved to trap shoot and ride his mule, "Mollie Bee." After retirement, he loved working at Washington County Memorial Park in the summers, where he developed many friendships.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on 30 December 2006 for Leo Rausch of Mequon, Ozaukee County, Wiusconsin, USA, at Lumen Christi Catholic Church in Mequon. Leo died at the age of 82 on Wednesday, 27 December at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon. The Reverend Peter J. Berger celebrated the Mass. Entombment with full military honors took place at Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon.

Philip A. Loos of Hartford, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at the age of 65 years on Monday, 08 January 2007 at Select Specialty Hospital in West Allis, Milwaukee County. Philip was born on 27 July 1941 in Hartford, son of Raymond and Marguerette (nee Zimmerman) Loos. He was a member of the Hartford Courtney-Carr-Milner American Legion Post 19, Hartford Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8834, United Vietnam Veterans of Hartford, and the Hartford Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years and was a strong supporter of the Washington County Humane Society.
Philip was survived by many dear friends and fellow members of the American Legion, VFW, Vietnam Veterans, and Volunteer Fire Deptment members. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.
Funeral services for Philip was on Saturday, 13 January at Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union Street in Hartford where Reverend Aaron Steinbrenner officiated. Visitation was on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.

Richard T. Wagner

Richard T. Wagner, also know as Dick, of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, entered into eternal peace at the age of 71 years on Thursday, 11 January 2007 at Kathy Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in West Bend on 29 October 1935, son of Peter J. and Erna A. (nee Kanies) Wagner where he was also raised. After schooling, he honorably enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1957, serving in Japan for two years. On 24 October 1959, Dick devoted his love and life to Janet M. Pfister. After marriage, the couple began a loving family of their own. Dick was a dedicated employee at Amity Leather and 7Up Bottling Company. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of West Bend #1398 and the Kewaskum Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384.
Richard was survived by his children, Paul (Margie) Wagner, Carl (Gail) Wagner, all of West Bend, and Julie (Cameron) Gardner of Black Creek; his cherished grandchildren, Emily, Amanda, Megan, and Samantha Wagner, and Caitlin, Jenna, and Jacob Gardner; and his siblings, Evelyn Kalies, Harriet (Lawrence) Leppla, Bernice "Bonnie" Voeks, Joan (Ervin) Claas, Sue Ann (Peter) Geib, Mary Snyder, Eugene (Nellie) Wagner, and Raymond (Nancy) Wagner. Wayne George Endlich Sr.

Wayne George Endlich Sr. of Tigerton, Schawano County, Wisconsin, USA, formerly of West Bend, Washington County, passed away at the age of 69 years on Tuesday, 09 January 2007 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. Wayne was born in Menomonee Falls, Waukesha County on 24 May 1937, son of Chester and Adeline (Wienke) Endlich. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955-58. Wayne was united in marriage on 05 January 1958 to Maxine Kastner at David Star Lutheran Church of Jackson. He started as a welder in 1958 with the Gehl Company in West Bend and in 1997 he was promoted to weld shop supervisor. Wayne worked for Gehl Company for 42 years, retiring in 2000. He moved to rural Tigerton in July of 2005. Wayne enjoyed automobiles, especially any kind of racing.
He was survived by two sons, Wayne (Claudia) Endlich Jr. of Germany and Tim (Mary) Endlich of Kohlsville, and a special friend, Maxine Williams of Tigerton. There are three stepchildren, Sheri (Bill) Edming of Plainfield, Valerie (Ed) Schlichting of Colorado and Jeannine (Sean) McMahon of West Bend; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Mary (Dennis) Reichert of West Bend, Joan Caulfield of De Pere, Linda (Joe) Bilgo of Jackson and Debra (Dar-ryl) Dorough of Oklahoma; and two brothers, Kenneth (Joyce) Endlich of West Bend and John (Chris) Groth of West Bend. Edward William McFall

Edward William McFall was born to eternal life at the age of 84 years on Thursday, 04 January 2007. He was the loving husband and best friend of Violet McFall; loving father of Vicky Schultrich and son-in-law, Jerry Schultrich; proud grandfather of Shane Schultrich. He will be missed very much by Bobbygirl and Sherlock, his dogs. Edward was also survived by two sisters and a brother, and was also loved by other relatives and friends.
Edward was born on 21 October 1922 in Milwaukee. He lived in Clearwater, Florida for 17 great years and moved back to West Bend for 11 years to be with his family. Edward received a scholarship in basketball to go through college, and became a CPA. In 1979, he became a Mason, was in the honor guard for 25 years and then became a Shriner. Edward proudly served in the United States Army Air Force receiving a Purple Heart and was discharged with full honors. He was a member of Independence Lodge 80 Mason and Shriner. Edward’s hobbies were showing horses and dogs. He loved farms and working on his computer, rides in the country and going out for supper and going to the bakery for his sweets. He really enjoyed life. Edward will be missed and always remembered for his smile and kindness. Thanks Dad for everything you have done for us.
A memorial service was held on Friday, 19 January at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 North Seventh Avenue in West Bend. Visitation was at the church.

Wilmer served in the United States Army, the Signal Corps, from 1942-44, and G-2 Intelligence from 1944-46 and was discharged as a 1st Lieutenant. He served as office manager for Federal Foods in Thiensville, Ross-Wells Inc. in Mequon and Beatrice Foods, retiring 01 August 1982. He was a lifelong member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, Cedarburg Volunteer Fire Department from 1941 to 2007, Cedarburg Emergency Government, where he served as director for 10 years, Cedarburg Peter Wollner American Legion Post 288, election inspector for the city of Cedarburg, volunteer ambulance driver and Cedarburg Fire Department Rescue Squad. He was very active in the former Mercury Thunderbolts Drum and Bugle Corps and former president of the now disbanded Cedarburg Music Parents.

Raymond Bubolz

Raymond Bubolz, also known as Ray, of Hartford, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, was called home at the age of 87 years on Friday, 12 January 2007. Raymond was born on 10 July 1919 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, son of Edwin and Amalia (nee Hackbarth) Bubolz. He married Evelyn Epple on 11 January 1943 in Carl Junction, Missouri. They met while he was stationed there in Camp Crowder. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII as a Communications Instructor. He was chosen for a secret mission to set up all communications for the Yalta Conference. He was honorably discharged in 1945 and returned to Milwaukee. Ray was a member of Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Hartford. He was active in his churches as an usher and financial secretary. He retired from Banner Tool and Die as a tool and die maker in 1983. Raymond and Evelyn retired to Door County and lived there for 17 happy and fulfilling years before moving back to the Hartford area. He loved fishing and all sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. Ray loved yard work, planting trees and flowers. His wisdom and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by his family.

John Tomlinson Ferris

Funeral services for John Tomlinson Ferris of Cedarburg, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA, and formerly of Lexington, Massachusetts. was held on 20 January 2007 at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ (1621 2nd Avenue) in Grafton. John was born to eternal life on Tuesday, 16 January 2007 at the age of 84 years. Visitation was held at the church on Saturday. Interment took place at Hancock Cemetery in Hancock, Waushara County.
John was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He was raised in several towns in southern Wisconsin, including Baraboo, Walworth and Reedsburg. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1940, received a bachelor of arts degree from Northland College in Ashland in 1947 and, in 1951, received his master of science degree from the University of Houston in Texas. Volunteering for military service during World War II interrupted his college studies. From 1943-45, he served as a sergeant in ground radar repair for the United States Army Air Corps in the South Pacific. In his work career, John started as a professor of photography at the University of Houston serving as chairman of the department for eight years. This position was followed by 10 years at the Bausch & Lomb Company in Rochester, New York, as head of the electro-optical and fiberoptic research department where six patents were granted. John was then a cost engineer for the Stone & Webster Company in Boston, Massachusetts. Both John and his wife were "raised as Wisconsinites" so, after John retired from Stone & Webster, they returned to Wisconsin. John was involved in many community activities including Rotary and many church-related services. He served as an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church in Houston and continued serving in that role in Pittsford, NewYork. He was elected deacon at the Hancock United Church of Christ in Lexington, Massachusetts, where he served on various committees such as finance and directed weekly live television broadcasts. Though retired, he remained an active church member with the Grafton Pilgrim U.C.C. congregation until his death. His greatest enjoyment however, over the last 60 years, was to spend time at his lake property on the Wisconsin River with family and friends. His family and friends now mourn his passing but know that his deep, strong faith will bring him to the joy of God’s presence.

Thomas E. Eickelberg

Thomas E. Eickelberg, also known as Tom, of Ludington, Michigan, passed away at the age of 60 years on Tuesday, 16 January 2007. Tom was born on 01 December 1946 in West Bend, Washington Country, Wisconsin, USA, son of E. Stuart and Gracia Eickelberg. He was a United States Coast Guard veteran, serving from 1966 to 1970 in Ludington, Grand Haven and Milwaukee. Tom moved back to Ludington in 1974 where he met his wife, Sally Shimel. They were married on 08 August 1975. Tom was the founder of Eickelberg Construction, building many homes in the Ludington area. He later developed a passion for log homes and started Stone Ridge Log Homes, building many throughout Michigan. Tom was founder and long-time member of the Victory Baptist Church, serving as deacon and on several church committees. His interests included painting, travel and building his "dream castle" home.
Thomas was survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Sally; a brother, Stuart; a sister, Anne; daughters, A. Paul William Moser

Paul William Moser of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, entered into eternal peace at the age of 78 years on Thursday, 18 January 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Paul was born in the town of Barton on 10 January 1929, son of William and Evelyn (nee Falk) Moser. He honorably served his country for four years with the United States Air Force, spending two years in Anchorage, Alaska. While he was in the Armed Forces, he earned his G.E.D. On 12 December 1953, Paul devoted his love and life to Audrey Kissinger at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Church in Barton. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and going on family camping trips. He also loved nature, hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending his winters in Florida (in his RVs that became larger every year). Paul was a man of many trades who loved to offer his handyman services to many, especially when it came to helping his family on their homes. Paul was a lifelong member of St. Mary Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Paul was survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Audrey; his cherished children, Michael (Debra) Moser of Cottage Grove, Jim (Cindy) Moser of West Bend and Gary (Paula) Moser of Kewaskum; his grandchildren, Amanda, Mark and Jake; and his siblings, Robert Moser, Raymond Moser, Esther Klein, Marcella Heller and Lucille Janz. Funeral services were held for Melvin J. Mason of Grafton, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA, on 29 January at Community United Methodist Church in Cedarburg. Melvin died at Lasata Care Center at the age of 90 years on Wednesday, 24 January 2007. Visitation was held at the church on Monday and interment took place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton.
Melvin was born on 26 December 1916 in Unity, Clark County, son of Arthur and Henrietta (nee Cook) Mason. He graduated from West Allis High School in 1936. On 02 September 1939, Melvin and Alberta "Bertie" were married in Malcolm, Iowa. Melvin served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a lifelong member of the Graftn Rose-Harms American Legion Post 355. Melvin’s favorite hobbies were helping with the Boy Scouts of America, dartball, coaching Little League Baseball, hunting, fishing and woodworking. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Melvin was survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Alberta "Bertie" (nee Ward) Mason; his children Barbara (Robert) Scherbert of Cedarburg, Gary (Sue) Mason of Hamburg, Keith (Pam) Mason of Cedarburg and Kenneth (Dolly) Mason of Slinger; and his sister Mildred. Ronald J. Roebke, also known as Ron, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 61 years on Sunday, 28 January 2007 at Cedar Springs Health and Rehab Center in Cedarburg, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA. Ronald was born in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County on 09 September 1945, son of Wilbert and Evelyn (nee Schneider) Roebke. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1963. Ron left for training in the United States Army Reserves in 1965.
He was a dedicated employee of Marcus Corporation Big Boy Restaurant for 33 years until they were sold. He started there as a bus boy, was promoted in Iowa through district manager, a position he held for for 12 years. He ended his career with the company in Milwaukee as a food standards director. After that, he worked for Sundance Photo in Jackson as a route driver until retirement. Ron was a member of Marcus Corp. 25-year Club, EAA, Ducks Unlimited, National Rifle Association and the North American Fishing Club. His nickname was "Big Ron." Some of Ron’s favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, cheering for the home teams on sports, especially the Packers, Bucks and Brewers. He was also a very good photographer.
Ron was survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Helen (nee Miller); his daughter, Lisa Roebke; a granddaughter, Samantha "Sammy Jo;" a sister, Suzanne (Charles) Jacobson; siblings-in-law, Louis Miller, Ramona Kleman, James Jr. (Kathleen), Andrew, Bernadine and Daniel Miller; his mother-in-law, Margaret Frehler; and also his former wife, Patricia Roebke. Raymond L. Wenzel, also known as Roundy, of Hartford, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, was born to eternal life at the are of 92 years on Wednesday, 31 January 2007. Raymond was born on 07 January 1915, son of Edward and Pauline (nee Bentzler) Wenzel. He married Bernice Pundt in 1944 at St. Kilian Parish. Roundy served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a golf pro and he and his wife managed and operated Hartford Golf Club for over 30 years. He and Bee also managed Harthaven in Hartford for 27 years. Roundy was a past member of Hartford Lions Club, Hartford Community Chorus and sang in a barbershop quartet and St. Kilian’s choir. He bowled in a league for many years, and played baseball in the Land ‘O Lakes League.

Lester A. Landvatter of West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at the age of 85 years on Wednesday, 31 January 2007 at Mapledale Manor in Kewaskum. Lester was born on 16 September 1921 in West Bend, son of Edwin and Caroline (Nee Schuppel) Landvatter. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1939, and after working a few jobs, he entered the United States Army and served in Europe during World War II. After returning to West Bend, he was united in marriage to Florence Ruefenacht on 11 May 1946 at Immanuel United Church of Christ. Lester worked at the former White House Milk Company and West Bend Plating Company for a short time, and then for the Ozaukee County Highway Department for many years until his retirement. After retirement he enjoyed working on the Lee Schuppel farm until his wife Florence died in 1997.
Lester was survived by a sister, Dorothy Graff of West Bend; a brother, John Landvatter of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Landvatter of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin "Bud" Landvatter Jr.
It was Lester’s wishes that there be no funeral services for him. Cremation took place at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service. Private family graveside services was held on a later date in spring.

Carl W. Heimerl passed away at the age of 90 years on Friday, 02 February 2007 at Hartford Care Center. Carl was born on 05 April 1916 in Leroy, Dodge County, son of John and Mary (nee Hebert) Heimerl. He married, Evona Roeseler, his first wife, on 25 November 1950 and she preceded him in death. He then married Delores Frank on 14 March 1981 at David Star Church. Carl worked for the Dodge County Highway Department for 34 years and after retiring worked at Cedar Lake Community for 10 years. He served his country in the United States Army as a MP during World War II. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Brewers and Packers. Carl was a charter member of the Rock River League Old-Timers Association, serving as president for 10 years. He was vice president of the Rock River League for 25 years and a member of the Hall of Fame. Carl was manager for the Rubicon Baseball Team for 45 years. He belonged to the Jackson Henry F. Gumm American Legion Post 486 and was a member of the Hartford Senior Friends. Carl was a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church in Rubicon.
He was survived by his wife Delores; three daughters, Susan (Allen) Van Dyke of Hustisford, Carol (Patrick) Schraufnagel of Iron Ridge and Holly Tennison (Larry Becker) of Menomonee Falls; four grandchildren, Adam Schraufnagel, Jared Van Dyke, Ross Becker and Brent Becker; two sisters-in-law, Audrey Walker and Nancy (Don) Walker. Carl is further survived by other relatives and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Evona; three sisters, Margaret Kelly, Sister Lucille Heimerl and Marie Klink, four brothers; Clarence, Lester, John and Francis "Happy."
Mass of Christian burial for Carl was held Tuesday, 06 February at St. John Catholic Church (W1170 Rome Road in Rubicon). The family greeted relatives and friends on Monday. An American Legion Post 486 walk-thru followed by a vigil service at the Shimon Funeral Home, (824 Union Street in Hartford). Additional visitation was at the church on Tuesday until time of the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was at St. John Cemetery in Rubicon.
