Obituary:   John Cornelius Walterlin of Germantown, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA died peacefully at the age of 81 years on Thursday, 19 February 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family. John was born on 22 December 1927 in Germantown to Herbert Walterlin and Rose Theresa Greulich. On 24 April 1954 he was married to Marlene L at St. Mary Catholic Church in Richfield. He was the father of Patrice, Jane (Kurt)and Diane. Proud grandfather of James, Justin, Jeremiah, Jordan, and Jacob. Brother of Winifred Peters. Brother-in-law of Werner (Beatrice) L. John was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, 23 February 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church, N89 W16297 Cleveland Avenue, Menomonee Falls, Waukesha County. Burial followed at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

In 1948 John and his father went gold mining in Alaska. In a 1940 Chevrolet pickup truck with a homemade plywood cap, they were the 56th and 57 civilians allowed to drive the Alcan Highway. The Alcan was an all gravel road 1,400 miles in length. They tested different claims from May to August but picking were small so they returned home. Two years later from May to October they went again this time to British Columbia, along the Caribou Trail in the Barkerville area.

John served his community as the Germantown Village Marshall from 1954 to 1957, Boy Scout Master Troop 54, charter member of the Germantown Lions Club, member of the Germantown American Legion Post 1, and a 50 year member of the Germantown Fire Department. John was a soldier in World War II. He had Air Corps training at Kessler Air Base in Mississippi and cryptograph training at Lowery Air Base in Colorado, then special unit training in Walker, Colorado. He was assigned to the War Department-Joint Chief of Staff-Pentagon Building, in Washington DC. where he deciphered and delivered "for your eyes only" messages.

Obituary:   "Kenneth Witzlib, also known as Kenny, was born into eternal life on 30 June 2007 at the age of 80 years. Kenneth was the husband for 55 years of Ruth. He was the loving father of David (Pat) of Rubicon, Janetof Colorado Springs, CO, Chuck (friend Rona) of Cecil, WI and Dennis (Mary Beth) of Germantown. Loving grandfather of Steve and Tina Kelnhofer, Bodie, Crystal, Lisa, Ben, Danny, Alyssa and Stephanie and 1 great-grandchild, Allicia Kelnhofer. He was further survived by his brother, James (Rosetta). Kenny served in the United States Navy during WWII, as well as 3 years in the Army Reserves. He was a 59 year member of the Germantown American Legion Post 1. Kenneth worked as a diesel and heavy equipment service man and was a member of Operating Engineers Local #139. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, 03 July at the funeral home. Burial followed at St. Mary Cemetery in Menomonee Falls. Visitation was at the funeral home."
