      It is suspected that Anthony emigrated between 1886 and 1887 as he was not in Vollmau to be included in a family picture in 1888. He would have been at this time 16-18 years of age. It is also believed that he may have emigrated with his cousin Anton Rausch. About 1914, Anthony and his brother Joseph visited the family in Vollmau, this based on a picture taken there at the time. Missing on the picture was his brother Karl who had died at the age of 19 in Vienna in 1897, and his sister Maria who died at the age of 34 in 1909.
