She was a very religious person. People close to her believe had she not married, she would have chosen a religious vocation.
      Agnes was President of Christian Mothers Society at St. Boniface in the 1930s and was instrumental in obtaining a washing machine for the school sisters of the parish over the object of the pastor.

Agnes always carried the money. One day when William was cutting firewood he had taken with him a 100 dollar bill. No one remembers why. When he came home several hours later he found that he had lost it. From that day on he never carried anything but change in his pocked for playing cards. Agnes was intrusted to carry the money and this she did in her brassiere. This created problems when for some reason William needed to pay for something and Agnes wasn't forewarned.
